The Search option is not working, and I can't search to check if that's been already discussed cause I can't use the function :-)
Maybe it's just a temporary problem, but I thought I should post it. The link gives a 500 error, so it has to be on the server (perl?).

I have never tried to use the search function and don't know anything about perl, so I can't fix it.

Hmm, maybe you can send me the ccode so I can take a look at it? Or maybe to someone else, I think it would be really useful, I for example haven't been able to login for a long time (nearly 6 months) and now I'm back. I know I posted some things that I would like to see aggain, but I just don't remember where I posted them, it wasn't in a new topic. And since I don't want to go through every single ost in all boards I guess I won't be able to find them.
Well, anyway, It would be great if you could somehow fix it. I myself know something about perl and I'm sure there are other ppeople who also know about it and would be keen on helping too.

The search skript itself is about 25 KB code. It is called somewhere in hundrets of more KB of other code - do you really want to look through it?

I don't mind, I've got a lot of free time, else I wouldn't be playing Illarion, would I? :-)

Ok, as far as I can see the error seems to be in:
a) the priviledges set for search.cgi (help.cgi has the same problem)
b) Some characters in line 46 (search.cgi) (looks like some strange E)

I can not assure that these are the problems, I would need the data directory, but I think that they most probably are. Bror, could you please check if these files have the same permission as the others?

If you could send me the data folder I could check if the error truly is the priviledge setting
