As the GMT clock does not move as most time zones do with daylight saveing time. Seems there is a little confusion about GMT time.
I am lucky not to have daylight saveing for everyone else here it is the GMT time.

Not entirely sure what you mean, but the UK does have daylight saving time too.

Yes, that makes UK GMT+1. Greenwhich does not have daylight saving time.

Correct me if I'm wrong... but isn't Greenwich some part of London?

So how can UK time be GMT+1 if Greenwich lies in the UK?

Yes fact is GMT time unlike other time zones does not move with daylight saveing time. So I placed this here being a link directly to the GMT homepage. As when ever a meeting is planned for anytime GMT we have people either an hour early or an hour late.

GMT does not have daylight saving time. UK has. So you can say: UK isn't in GMT but GMT or GMT+1 depending on daylight saving time.

Where is GMT used then if not somewhere around Greenwich (Which lies in the UK I am quite sure)?

It IS used in the UK but the government decided to use daylight saving time and GMT doesn't have it (which results in the UK being in GMT+1 (British Summer Time BST) in the summer). Read the damn website if you don't understand!

Just for you: To find out the original time imagine it is winter. Daylight saving time (set the clock one hour forward in summer) is a quite new invention.

Oh do not mind Rackere. He tends to have his aggresiveness rushes from time to time. :)

Daylight saving time... sounds different than the term I use in my mother tongue for it ((german)) actualy it sounds funny being translated but now I do understand what you mean,

I do know this simple fact, it's just the word that confused me (We got the same thing here in my country...daylight saving time... w/e)

[Grad gesehen das du auch Deutsch sprichst... "Tageslicht Spar Zeit" :D naja ich hab was gelernt, und auch wenn du's nicht glaubst ich weiß was Sommerzeit bedeutet]

We should switch to "IllarionServerTime", IST. IST is austrian time, CET that is. IST is BST+1, currently it is GMT+2. In case of doubts, check an internet site of your choice.

You can check the IST here: http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-z ... /index.htm
