AAHHHHHHH, that's not right - unexplainable

Ok, i was happily cabbage farming (don't laugh) when the server went down, and when i got back on Illarion, i was not at my cabbages, but the previous place i had logged into (near the ogres) - also i noticed that all the stats that i had gained, and all the money and items i had collected had disappeared, everything was the same as the previous time i logged in, So it seem that during those 2hours, i wasted my time.
Is this a problem? Will i get my stats and money back (and my 68 cabbages, lol)

what an annoying inconvenience!

Lost things because of server crashes cannot be proven in any way, and therefor not be given back. On the other hand, if you had died twenty times in the meanwhile, your losses would be eradicated too, that turns the situation in "just a bad dream" for your character...
See, everything has its pro's and Con's

If the server crashed back then, you should still have your money from the cabbages....

yeah that's true, but i did  wait about 13 minutes for my cabbages to grow, and i'm sure the money i got came from killing ogres and mummies during those two hours.  I can understand why i can't have my items and stats back, but there must be a problem that caused this, so it needs to be sorted for others in the future  (maybe it's an XP thing)

Hehe, this has exceptionally nothing to do with XP :)
It's just that the server crashed and when it was brought back up, the last backup of your character file was loaded. So you have the bad luck, that your char was not saved the last 2 hours you played it and so everything is just as it was before.
(Well 2 hours are not THAT bad, are they?)

Lol, i counted the minutes go by as the little buds turned into lovely, nearly fully grown cabbage, it was depressing!

Just one question, was i the only one who lost everything from the 2h, compared to everyone else on when the server crashed.

Next time someone see's me, a donation of cabbages would be really nice, it would really chear me up!

If the server crashes, EVERYONE goes back to the time they logged out the last time.

Hehe, this brings back old memories...
This bug made me not a mage anymore, or maybe that was another bug...
Anyway, that reminded me of this question...
When I started, I was a mage. I bought a druid book and for some reason I changed to a druid, and I told this to Damien or Aries or someone and they thought it was weird. So, I have no problems with this change, but can it be explained??

Errr, then if this is true, I have some ideas of bad "strange ways" of using server crashes to your advantage....

Or are they "accounted for"?

I wont mention them here in case they do work....

There may be possibilities to abuse server crashes. I remember old tibian days, where server crashes were provoced every 30 minutes by players, to duplicate items. As far as I know, this duplicating worked only because the depot was saved when you closed it, but your character when you logged out. In Illarion, the depot is saved only when you log out, to avoid this bug.
Anyway, you can only abuse server crashes if you can produce them on demand. I haven't noticed that anyone has this ability (except me of course ;) )

Hmmm. Nice idea. We must ask Bror about that imediately.
But until now, the Client-Crash-Rune works well enough to annoy players. ;)
