Could we have a few different graphics for NPCS? Mugush, sam and the innkeeper look exactly the same...

Even just swiping the clothes with stripes or something... would make them look a bit different...

Not a bad idea for static npc's accually. This would require new graphics obviously, but also another client release because thats where the graphics are stored.

Also the NPCs dont need to turn.. so there is only 1 view of them.. so just ONE graphic.. no need for 4

Accually another good reason I can think this is good for, noobs could tell the diff between npc's and players much easier.

They can just hit F12, if no names come up it's an NPC

Yes, but that is something you have to realise first. Different graphics would be obvious to everyone.

They can  They can more than we use now.

NPCs could be made semi intelligent; imagine this: A char knocks on the door of Silverbrand. A NPC walks to the door and asks who it is. If it is a citizen, the NPC opens the door, greets the citizen and walks to another place. If the door is left open, he waits some time and closes it if no char is around. This is possible (but not realistic because it would use many, many days to weeks to code this).

But I agree, in a distant future, we should have customizable avatars for every char and NPC. But somebody has to create all the gfx and this is a huge work with only moderate benefit for the game. Thus, it won't happen tomorrow.

The first time i logged in,., with a human, the program exited [while it created the account]

When i re-logged.. i though he was just an image i had left [not timed out]

Took me a while to realise

If someone would supply me with the pictures of the NPCS.. i would give them a few edits... they dont need animations anyway...

or do i have to PRINTSCREEN and extract it myself?

It does not work this way. Changing gfx in the client requires an update. And it does not make much sense to change some details about the 2D gfx. But I guess our gfx-spokesperson can explain this better.
