Ok i know you like us to find out answer's in game and i have tried. Yet no one can give me an answer.

When i try to carve boards with my carving tools. It always ends with: "You do not have required materials at hand"

If I'm not doing this right pleae tell me:
Shift-click the tools
Item menu comes up
Shift click staff handle
Staff handle menu comes up
Shift click short staff handle
You do not have required amterials at hand comes up.

I have boards in my belt.

What am i doing wrong?

Where are you holding things? You can't carve without tools in your hand...

Yes the carving tools are in my hand

And would the type of boards matter maybe?

You dont use boards with carving tools....

You use branches... get them by using a SAw with a cherry tree [remove the cherries first] and select branches

None of my chars are carpenters, but... I do know you need to have the wood you're carving in your belt...And, um...Hm. I think you cna carve different things with different boards.

How do i finish a staff? I can make the handles, but theres no option to make the other part

You must speak to him in elvish, type "!l elf" and hit enter. Then say what you want to buy in elvish. That is a lower case L not an upper case i. To speak common just type "!l common" and hit enter.

And how do you get conifer wood? It wont let me.
