I had received a message 4 days ago... "you are encumbered"... so i stopped working... then i stayed relaxing... talking and walking ect... However the message that i was not encumbered anymore didn't arrive... so i ignored it.,..
yesterday... as i was working, i received the message "you need to rest immediatly if you wish to regain your mental state".. something along that lines...so i returned to the city, and 'sat' around a campfire and talked...yet a message to show i'm ok didn't arrive
Am i doing something wrong? is there a way to increase the rest reate?

Encumbered means you are carrying too much, not that your character is tired.
It doesn't come up with a message saying you can gain skill again.

If you drop some things it says "You are no longer encumbered"

Just chill for awhile and try again...it can take from a few minutes to a few hours

There is no message to show that your mental capacity is again good enough.

Use the time you have to rest for roleplaying

If you log out of the world, do you continue to rest?

I do use that time for rp.....
What are the long-term effects if you continue working? do you forget things? or black out? or just dont learn anything?

I don't think there are any effects, you just don't gain any skill.

So it wont block powergaming at all.. wonder why its implemented... if you want to get resources... all you do is repeat.. and nothing will happen

Okay, but with this method you wont gain any skill points. Think thats the point of powergaming...

Yes, powergaming got a new definition on the frontpage:
Carrying out an action repeatedly (that does not fit your role) and for an extended time to raise your skill, is called Power gaming, and is forbidden. A worse case is when the player is doing something else to entertain him or herself meanwhile (e.g. watching tv). Examples are to train with other characters without a roleplay background or always hanging around spawn points.
A miner who, for example, is hired to mine alot, and mines alot for that job he is hired for, is technically not powergaming... because he's not gaining skill, and what he's doing belongs to the role he plays.
