How strong ARE your skills?

Post by Trenton »

I understand that skills change color depending on how good you are at them. However, all my newly aquired skills are black, while my language skills are blue.

What are the different colors the skills change as you get better at them?

Are black and blue the only 2 colors? :x

Does the color blue mean you maxed out that skill? :x

PS. I cant log in!!! whats goin on?!!! :(

Your new skills will be blackish because you've just started. Over time as you progress they'll move up to the blue color you see with your language skills. I believe the blue color in language skills is the best you can get. (I think). What messages do you get when you try to log on?

The color gradually rises in tint as you progress through the skill. Example: Black, dark blue, slightly less darker, etc etc. Until you reach grandmastery in the skill.

Accually, it is all blue, its just so dark it looks black. The better your skill the brighter the blue you will get.

Yesterday i learned parry skill, and picked up 3 entrails from mummies and made them into thread.

Today when i logged in, my parry skill was gone, and my 3 threads were not in my depot anymore. What happened? Did my character experience....muscle atrophy or something?

Well here is what I know about the subject:
When you log out, everything you have done is saved. I would suggest logging in/out regularly to save your progress or whatever trades might have occured, it only takes a few seconds. If your playing and the server crashes, when they restart the server, your char will be set back to the point you last logged out at. This is what might have happend, and would be my first guess.

On the topic, does the 'Book of Self-something' (forgot the word) still exist/work?
