Many have been out striving for runes and some way to better increase the chance of using magic.

I have just recently acquired the instructions on how to make magical wands. Yes, I am as far as I know the only person on the Island able to make wands, true wands.

((edit: please no trading posts here))

Ahh, how can you critcize my work when you yourself probable have no clue the intricat details a wand requires, you have not spent time examining intsructions for hours on how to make such a marvelous work.

I shall not be critcized by a fool that knows nothing of the intricate detail that involves making a wand.

Quinasa examines the many papers on the wall dating back for months since she's had a chance to read them. She writes a reply and posts it with the others.

Erart Ridoc,

You sound like a helpful fellow, but perhaps you should be spoken to in person. We do not discuss the aquisition of magic or magical items as such in a public way. Magic is something to be honoured, something we like from falling into the wrong hands. I ask you to find me so that we may talk. Or perhaps I shall find you.

If my memory serves me right you need more than skill in carpentry to make a true Magical Wand.
I will say no more because, as Lady Quinasa rightly pointed out, Magic is not something to be treated lightly.

I am astounded by those who think that I do not have the skill to create a true magical wand, Can you make the intricate cuts perfectly along the correct lines to draw in the considerble forces of magic? I think not, please do not criticize me for something you are unable to do.

You need more forces then just wood and well aimed cuts to make a proper wand Erart. The same problem is with all your items, you do not put passion into them. Quality over quantity.

Stephen, you who cannot even compare to my skill should not be insulting the quality of my work. You who know nothing of the making of magical wands, and are probable still stuck on making dyer wands. Keep your foolish words to yourself

As it stands and as has been said: magic is not something we discuss openly. Please respect our request and do not boast about having the ability (whether believed or not) to make magical objects. There is a protocol about this sort of thing.

True magical wands need the force and the work of magic powers of a mage, and not just the skilled hands of a carpenter. I disbeliefe that your magic wands have any power or effect for mages and magelike peoples.

To quote a little, but rather important, book 'A magic wand has TAH inside'.
Erart, are you a mage? If not then you can do no more than craft the shell of a Wand. The heart and soul will be missing. Therefore your wands are not true Magical Wands.
I do not doubt your skill as a carpenter just your Knowledge of the Arcane.
Your carpentry is not in question. We all know the great amount of time you put into perfecting your craft. Some might even call you single minded in the pursuit of your skill. But you lack even the basic knowledge of the forces that go into a wand to give it its ability and use to a mage.

Your work may be in high quality but it lacks love, just because I am not a professional musician, doesn't mean I can't judge someone's musical skills, just as Stephen may not be as good a carpenter as you, he can still judge your work.
