Does Illarion need more players?

Not so long ago I was thinking how small Illarions player base is and was trying to Imagine what it would be like with more players. After thinking I kinda came to a stalemate In some aspects it would be good afterall the more the merrier but then i figured more players made more problems. Also I think the fact that so many of the charecter know each other because there arn't that many is what makes it so great. anyway I wonderd what other players opnions where would more players improve or ruin Illarion and why?:D

Illarion thrives of quality over quantity..that is a fact new players are always welcome though. As long as they can RP relatively well...
By this i dont mean they need to be amazing players, what we dont need though is many "mistakes" made by new players from other games.
Item drops...
Abuse of OOC knowledge between there variouse characters.
Piggy backing there three characters. For example letting my warrior get thread for my carpentar character.
etc
PKing
Self explanitory
An idea of rping
I had one guy the other day say ((this game obviously is not for me and leave)). Because pendar was mean to him..I felt bad but i was only acting in character.
-----------
As soon as a player can grasp these basics they are welcome indeed.
So yes we always need more, but Illarion is unique as such will always appeal to a smaller group of players than mainstream games.

True, perhaps there are not as many true rpers out there as we hoped. *g* As long as we have good rpers that is really all that is needed, I'd rather have one good player than ten bad rpers who can't understand how to do it.
And Brian, sometimes I feel bad when I am mean to other characters as well, lol.

As long as they have a basic understanding of the concept then it would be great with more players. We are not looking for the paradigm shift in rp type rpers, but ones who have the concept, or even those who dont but are willing to learn, would make the game better.

My answer: Yes.
However, we don't need more chars standing around in Eliza's shop. We need diversity. We need 5 chars in GB, 5 in SB, 5 in TV, 5 in V, 10 in TB and 20 walking the land. This would be the optimum.
Anyway, we don't need "omg u suck"-players. There are some things on their ways to attract more players, but this has not the highest priority.

To be honest, more players, yes...more players at the same time at the same spot? NO.
i had to notice that more than 5 or 6 players the saame time on a gamewindow will mean chaos. you won't be able to follow conversations, or rp. everyone is saying something, doing #mes and all. and when something happens, like a quest, you will have 6 or 7 "heros" or characters who want to be the one who solve everything. you know the sentence "too many cooks ruin the mush"? in illarion it is the same. more than 6 characters and fun will go down. and chaos will raise.
so, more palyers, yes! but dispensed over the map.

Primarily, I find it more quality over quantity. However, I also agree with what Galim and Estralis say. More players, but only for the reason of enriching, not necessarily enlarging. At the moment, the town of Trollsbane is a focused center of interaction partially because of this. It's difficult to stay somewhere outside of town waiting for roleplay opportunities to come along. (Err... unless you RP with yourself. *sheepish grin*)
Well, the map is probably big enough now

. If more separately-located focal points were developed, then yes, more players would be great.

Ahh, the old quantity and quality thing. Both are needed for a better game.

Yes, 100 more would be nice, who wandered around outside of Trollsbane.
Although I play a jerk character, the Illarion world feels very lonely. It's a shame not many people seem attracted to this style of playing.
I actually started playing RuneScape two days ago, just so I can get combat skills up while being around a lot of people.
