General windows error message for WinXP when something it doens't like happens.

Happens randomly so far as I can tell, and often.

WinXP Home, SP2.
512MB RAM
Integrated Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME video board.
Crystal WDM AC'97 soundboard
DX 9.0c

Anything else I need to put in here?

I have the same error.

I recognized that this error occurs more often, when you switch
with [alt]+[tab] to another programm (such the browser with your german-english-german translator).

Then it happens often, when you get an ICQ-Messenge with the Messenger "Trillian" (with ICQ, Miranda, SIM... I haven't tried).

And it happens sometimes, when Outlook is checking E-Mails (I told my Outlook to check E-Mails every ten minutes, so I recognized it very fast)

Firewall and AntiVirus seems not to be a problem.

Maybe it depends on the soundchip, 'cause i have the
Realtek AC'97
and both, Outlook and Trillian tell me acoustic, that I've got a new E-Mail/Messenge

No, it happens every time I minimize the window. While they work on this common sense would tell you not to do those things that cause it to shut down like that. After the first 2 ot 3 times for me I learned my lesson. And its not just a new client problem, it happened all the time with the old client.

I get booted constantly, it has always been a problem with illarion for me.
I dont know if it is an inconsistancy with my connection or as i remember reading a conflcit with windows xp service pack 2.
My money is on the pack

Konstantin was the first who reported issues with XP SP2 and Illarion a while back, he said to fix these issues he had to deinstall ServicePack2.

We know about these problems :(
I have them myself and they are the reasons why we cannot implement more graphics and so on.
I even have a computer (amd XP 1800+, 512 RAM) where illarion will only run for 1-2 minutes and then freeze totally, forcing me to do a *hard* reboot (=cut the power supply!), with win2k pro, winXP pro and win98!

These problems should be fixed with the upcomming client, however it may take a while.

Argh, yeah. SP2 sucks. It screwed up every single one of my games. I uninstalled it about 15 minutes after it had finished installing.
