Illarion.org

Well... I just downloaded the client, unzipped to C:\Illarion\, kept dir structure, ran the client and went to character creation;

There's no race selection in the pulldown menu, if I touch the stat sliders on any factor they boost to some insane value or 0 (and won't be movable past that), there's no language selection in the pulldown menu either.
When I press create (after trying to fill in half and half, wasn't sure if it was like this for all and hadn't been fixed yet or not), nothing happens (data is sent though).

I have the latest directx, if that were to have any relevance... I really have no idea why this is happening and I'd love to try out this game. =\
Any ideas? (checked for previous posts on this issue and in the faqs, I couldn't find anything about this specific scenario, if it's a repeat though - and I just missed it, my apologies)

ich hab genau das gleiche progblem
hab den clind grad runtergeladen enpackt und gestartet...
und auf creat char geklickt sind keine rasses da keine punkte zum verteilen und sprachen kann man auch nicht wählen ...

This problem sounds like the client couldn't connect to the server.
When you start the new character creation, a connection to the internet must be established. You can disconnect while thinking about the stats and filling in all the stuff and then connect again, to send in the information.

I downloaded the client from the Illarion page and it worked fine for me. Please download it again, maybe the file was corrupt or something, unzip it and start Illarion.exe!

Well i know the problem only  if we have a servercrash.
look at the statistic  can it be ?

This has happened to me...
all the stats # value turn to "static"
and theres no race type
and everything's just screwy.
Oh well.
