A small hint on account applications

Around 80% of the account applications we receive these days have one fact in common, the ending of the story goes like this:
"...and aftar taht i grap meh zword and kill all guys after taht i safe da world then i dring beer in tavenr and talk to friendz"
Don't wonder if we reject such applications! Take some time and write a true ending of the story, two lines are simply not enough for us to judge your abilities in creating stories and your fantasy.

You know, for some people who write things like that, it's odd to think that if they just took a peek into the Role Playing board and read some of what others post, they'd even have an idea of what to send in.

Uhm...you mean you rejected me Estralis?
I thought the ending of drinking with friends in the tavern was an incredible plot twist.

I know mine was twice as long as the beginning story, Im surprised my acceptance email wasnt something like "We are honored to have such a magnifigent roleplayer gracing us with his presence in Illarion"
And now my cockiness is over

Mine was someting like... I am Nilo let me in!! and then Poof I was let in.
Not really though I had to write a (truly magnificent

) story about an elven girl who said a spell like.. "Kel roc lev" Hahahaha But then that was a few years ago mind you.

I wrote a story about the elven girl turning into a witch and frightening the two drunk. (She wasn't a witch but she made the drunk think she was) It was incredible.
I don't know, Estralis, do you (or Arien) have a copy of my application story? I want to read through it. I need something to laught.

Haha I wish I had my too just to see it, I wrote that the elven girl was about to be attack when a hooden figure in a Cloak appear and saved her, he's wolf jumped at the man form the forest and he appear in a tree branch.... The elf then had to go one a journey to find the person. Ah writing that story was fun!

I loved my application, too. I really got into writing the character. Actually, I used the way I portrayed the character they gave me to write about to create on eof my characters

Just a reminder to those applying:
The account system is not automated and sending an application that consists entirely of:
"jdkdkidi3i3kd."
Will have your application instantly rejected.

Same holds for an application that consists to 90% of the given story. We want you to write 500 characters of your own ideas. I doubt that this is too much, we often receive stories that are longer, by far.
So, please, do not submit the beginning of the story, just your ending. Save our time and your time.

Well, we can't help you create a story, as it is a test to prove your capability of fitting in with the game world. However reading the following links should allow you to develop an understanding of what is needed.

Just some general remarks (not adressing "Lionheart"):
There are two languages in which we accept stories: German and english. There is a simple reason why we don't accept other languages (spanish, l33t, polish,...): Not every team member understands them. In fact, the mentioned languages are not understood by a single team member (am I right?).
So, try to use proper english. Sentences start with a capital letter and end with a full stop. Abbreviations like "u" "lol" "omg" are frowned upon. Same holds for german, by the way. Write just you were told in school!
Okay

What do you mean about ''murmuring'' in this story about dwarf which i have to continue, because i dont know what do you mean by that. Dont think im stupid but we dont speak english in my country but we study it at school.

In german it would be "murmeln" won't help you much I guess.
It is when someone talkes unclearly and quiet. Mostly in a deep voice and when something isn't going like someone wants it to go.

Hmmm...Now I'm slightly worried. I didn't want to waste too much of your time so I made the story interesting with plenty of room to continue....but it wasn't very long. It wasn't a one liner, but it wasn't quite 500 words either. I'm still in the application process and now I'm wondering if I'm going to get away with it......

Mine was relatively short. Quality is always an important factor; but quantity can only make up somewhat if the quality is not already sub-par.

It would be nice to know if that ends up being the problem. I can easily lengthen it once I know it needs to be.

Mine wasn't very long, either...I'd estimate about 300-350 words, and I got accepted the day after I applied. I wouldn't worry too much, they are basically looking to see if you have fairly decent RP abillities.
EDIT: Oh, yes. In case anyone doesn't know, I am also Devrah Liioness and Lady Arynne. This isn't really my first post

Less than 100 words for me I think, it was only like 7-10 sentences I think, but it has been a while.
