New Map: Bugs
Posted: Mon Apr 25, 2005 5:53 pm

Please post bugs of the new map here, so I can take a quick look at them and either fix them myself or forward it to the right persons.
We did our best to test as much as possible in the given time, but because of the sheer size of the map it was not always possible to an, for me satisfying, amout.
Bugs you can post here are for example:
- wrong tiles
- blank areas (areas without any item on them at all)
- overlaping items (like the townwall at the moment)
- broken, wrong teleporter (like stairs)
- odd item placements (chair in the woods)
- odd spawns (sheeps in a cave)
Please keep it short and precise.
A screenshot may also be helpful from time to time, but only post it as link.
Many thanks for your help.

The wells can be passed through, though I'm not sure if this has been corrected in my eight hours or so of absence.

It would be nice to be able to access mines.
((Or has that been fixed already?))

It was fixed. At least I (and maybe all other dwarves/people online) got a greet from a dev that the mines are working now.

Uhmm still can't plant any carbagge or grain..or isn't this able for mages?

Thanks Shivoc, can you send me a copy of the fixed file?
Which mine is not accessable, Misjbar ? Its impossible that every mine is not accessable, since I tested a handful of them.
Platning stuff is a script, Nikago, no map problem. Unless there is no farmland on the map.

In the grey rose castle is a wall error on the second floor.

I mentioned it before, but the Castle Rose's second floor stairs (going down) is missing it's teleporter. It may already be fixed.

Here's a bug on a southern leg of Greenbriar island--the bug's in the drawing of the ingame minimap. It keeps going for a while like that.

Also i haven't found "The farmers Union yet".
Im assuming you left it off, and im upset.
I would love you for the rest of your life if you added it back though,

As we are an established and active guild, and now we have no farmland that seemed to disappear over night....

There's also a bookcase at the edge of the desert heading north, is that suppose to be there?

I've noticed the new graphics for the apple trees. Well done but there is one problem with it though. If someone cuts down the tree, the stump remains (of course unless someone shovels it out) but when the tree grows back, the stump is still there and you can not access the new tree for fruit. You simply "use" the stump that should have grown back into a full tree. Thanks.

More apple trees in the non town areas. You need to wlak the mile to town from cutting trees in order to get a bite to eat!

I have seen the land.
The ladder in the house of the druids of the forest didn't work.

Don't worry, the farmer union land is still there, you just have to search

. remember where it was on the old map, and start walking, uh uh uh, lets walking *sing*. You could pay my character Brodir for showing it to you

. He knows where it is

You just didnt search enough.

I can't figure out a reason for this on the map, seems to be a problem of the client, maybe.
Fooser wrote:There's also a bookcase at the edge of the desert heading north, is that suppose to be there?
No. I'll remove it on the next map update by me and make sure its not coming back. Thanks.
If I can get ahold of a GM, I'll send him or her by to remove it by hand for now.

Thats a script.
Every action is a script and not linked to the map.

Thats not actualy a bug, now is it ?
And, honestly between us both here, I wanted it this way.
Aragon wrote:The ladder in the house of the druids of the forest didn't work.
Noted down, thanks.

Could there possibly be signs denoting guild areas (even if they have to be bought by guilds)? I think I found the guild land with a locked building on it and a wall around it but I can't really be sure.

Die Treppe aus dem Obergeschoss des Magierturmes ist nicht sichtbar.
Der Teleportpunkt liegt einfach so auf dem Fussboden.

I am sorry, I dont have intentions right now to put farmland there.
Looks like you have to buy your food from someplace else.
So, no, this is not a bug.
