You would have to live out in the desert with no one to talk to but,well,monsters. And,I don't think they talk back.....frankly. I think you should stick to being the Jar-Jar-Binks of Trollsbane

i geuss you're right. i will stay teh way i am. but if it is ever an option, it would be fun to have a shapshifting spell. tehn i can be a dragon for a short time. but if there is a shapeshifting spell, you cant shift into a charecto, only monsters

Yes, it is the proposal board, but it wasn't meant for you proposing that you be a dragon. I am betting that this is not the kind of proposal they were looking for.

I think it would be fun to make the dragons a part of a quest you can go on where you go to a different land somehow, i know its asking quite a lot but if dragons were just flying round the map i think they would be enjoyed less.

If there are dragons in the game I think they should be uber hard. So it would take like 10 excellant warriors and mages to kill one.
Nothing sadder in a game than see wimpy dragons.
I want a mob that, if it's killed, it means something.

I think that they're should be dragons but maybe just as a quest to get to something more exiting like a sea serpent or a gryphon or maybe even pheonix because every rpg has dragons but almost none have those.

Why must dragons always be evil creatures? For the Chinese and Japanese dragons are good beings, and I must say I like this idea.

Perhaps even if not "good", they are sacred in those cultures and beliefs.
Though with such power, the dragons you spoke of can still cause wanted or unwanted destruction, but as well as bring luck.
In the chinese legends, the dragon always tries to eat the sun (i believe it obviously never succeeded).
and also, the sun is something the phoenix needs to reborn itself.
If you must have dragons, ive heard bror is the race of lizzard men in the game, he rarely appears, is a god, and i bet powerful. So all those "dragon hunters", perhaps you will find
"bror hunting season" open on your minds (not nessesarly killing, or capturing him, but simply find him he he he)? and keep in mind, hunt at your own risk.
<no offience to bror>

In AD&D there are many types of dragons, and they are all of diffrent alignments.
The general rule there is, if it's a color, it's evil, if it's metalic, it's good, though I don't think that's 100% true.
Gold, Silver, Copper dragons are good alignment, etc...
Black, Red, Green dragons are evil alignment, etc...

A Gryphon would eat the pheonix and dragon for supper....while drag as a dragon is saying
"me no get eaten by big birdy, I shoot him with fire......fire no work, me throw my roleplaying at him.......I forgot, me no no how to roleplay"

obviously not true. A dragon can be in any color, any size, any shape, and that does not determin is "alignments". Its a suposid intelligent life, therefore, it will attack if attack, hunt if hungry, and care for what ever it wish to... But in the game we could use the color to determin its hostilities.
@mannelig
The comment about gryphons-That is either a hastly comment or a joke.
here is some information, if your interrested.
To the best of my knowledge-
The Gryphon (others known as griffin, griffon, or griffeth) may be large, and in tales, it can block out the sun, has a head of a eagle, and body of a loin or cainine, with a tale of either a loin or serpent. Gryphons lives in mountain ranges and feed on dead men, or it preys on horses and cattles. It has a eye on luxury and decorates its nest with gold, and jewels. They have been used as a symbol of hero, strength, love, or vigilance. A Gryphon with a Dragon, is a sign of Wisdom. A Gryphon has a great hate for snakes. Therefore, it will attack and confront in a duel if it is able with a Serpent, wyrm, or even mistaken Hydras. Its unlikely it will pick a fight with a Phoenix, or Dragons and likes for all are Predators and glady eat each other for a nice meal. Confronting Phoenix is a foolish for a gryphon, if it ever meets one. A phoenix is covered in flames, or a aurora of a sort, that burns all things near it. Phoenix itself is also large, and hunts for its food, and IF it is defeated, and heavily injured, it regenerates, or burns itself to its own death by its own capable flames, and reborn itself as well. As for Dragons, Wyrms, Drakes, Hydras, becareful of who it chooses. A dragon is a 4 legged, 2 winged, though not always able to fly, quite manuveralbe. Again, its a predator, not a cute sheep. Wyrms rule the land and undergrounds. They lost the ability to fly in the sky, to swim through the ground. A gryphon would have a hard time, attacking it, or simply finding it. Its hide and seek tactics to the gryphon is too confusing, and dangerous, if the gryphon is foolish enough to fly down and prospect, it will be draged to its doom, and not even its powerful wings will get it out. Hydras are very hard to attack, for its many heads. Though not able to blow fires, they have venomous bites, and quick snaps like snakes.... not to mention half of its body is its long snakelike necks, but it does have body and 2 legs and may have wings, though also useless for flight... and last but not least, Drakes, simple 2 headed, 2 legged dragons, whom one head blast out a frosty cold venoumous breath, and the other a hot scorching fire. It has no wings, and no hands... but a gryphon would either be sent home slightly burned, or chilled.

@Shadow Wraith: I see, and so you have an AD&D monster manual there? You have actually played AD&D right? And you are familiar with the dragons in AD&D? I was describing the AD&D method of determining a dragons alignment. And other characteristics.

@Serpardum
let me make myself clear.
"The general rule there is, if it's a color, it's evil, if it's metalic, it's good, though I don't think that's 100% true. "
"Gold, Silver, Copper dragons are good alignment, etc... "
"Black, Red, Green dragons are evil alignment, etc... "
-That was what i commented on, not AD&D.
I was not talking about AD&D, do not care about this AD&D, for this is Illarion, not AD&D, and i was only stating, truely, that isnt how you should determine a dragons alignment, if illarion, can randomly generate monsters with different status, perhaps for these creatures, alignment also, therefore, you cant always be sure who is agressive ect.
If illarion do wish to add colors as decribing the dragons, that can be done if they wish, and i have no objections, but to simply say, all metalic colored dragons are good, and all red, blue, brown, are bad ect... would be simply untrue to roleplaying, because if these animals, existed, i doubt you can tell if their bad or good simply by the color, and you shouldnt be able to. (too simple if you do, add a little fear, or curisoity, for one to find out himself)

@Shadow Wraith:
I said:
"The general rule THERE is, ..."
You said:
"obviously not true...."
It sounds like you are stating that that's not the way it is in AD&D.

"The general rule THERE is"
if said more specified to AD&D would of been understandable to me, but ive read
"The general rule there is, if it's a color, it's evil, if it's metalic, it's good, though I don't think that's 100% true. "
the part "the general rule (there is)" sounds like your saying, the most common rule (there is) blah blah blah, refering indirectly to AD&D, instead, using AD&D's dragon alignment as the "universal code" to depict whether the dragon is friendly, or aggressive.
Get what i was pointing at? a simple meaning that was misunderstood, but my point still stands, reguardsless of "obviously not true"ect.

First, what sense have twenty different Monster tha have all nearly the same strengh?
The monster Hunt is only a littel part what illarion is.
and if you guys start to read the News and the mainboard you will se that there are much biger problems than red blue and Greend Dragons
