Description of your characters

Well, it's difficult to always do a "#me" describing your character IG. At least for me. I end up saying less about my character what results in making him appear something totally different.
That's because sometimes making a description with a "#me" takes some time and you end up losing the rest of the conversation and RP.
So, to easy it, I thought about making a post for everyone that finds it difficult as me to make a description IG.
I don't know if this will be accepted as a good idea, though.

Dominik Windslasher: He has about 1,75m and is thin. Looks like 35 to 40 years old. White sun bathed skin, a beard to be done, long hazel hair to his shoulders. His eyes are always hidden under the borders of his hat. There is always a calm smile on his face. He smells of earth wet by rain. He dresses old clothes and a cape, but he seems to wear armour under the clothes. He is always carrying a lute, a dagger and a bottle of elven wine.

I followed a typing course 3 years back. Great help. I always get around typing #me's about Misj's clothing, mask, way of acting. But that is probably just me =3

Galdwore Darkmoore: Over one and a
half metres tall with emerald green eyes,
thin straight nose on a narrow face. He is
well built but not bulky and is well tanned
looking around 30 years of age.
He wears a battered wizard's hat at all times hiding his
hair. He either wears green/black robes or in
travel and battle stained trousers and shirt.

Hate to break it to you, but that isn't a good description, imho, because these things should be roleplayed by you and found out by other player/characters in interaction with you. I am convinced a "description" should focus solely on the appearance and demeanor of your character—that will offer more holds for other people to roleplay with.
I.e., if you want to show that your character is fun-loving and of jesting nature, describe the character something like this: He always seems to have a playful smirk about his lips, and speaks in a melodious, charming voice, almost as if singing when speaking.
/Edit: Something like that example would not only give "good" characters the notion to more easily accept the character's presence, it would give foothold for "baddies" to make fun of your character ("Yo, hobbitse, stub speakin' like dat, before I show ya how sharp dis axe really iz!!")
