Would it be possible to have a character graphic that isnt carrying a weapon for each race? I'm a man of peace in the game, and would just like others to know so they dont think I'm a worthy oponnent to duel with. You should still be able to carry a weapon for use on ogres and things. It would allow peacefull people to go about their ordinary business without being challenged (hopefully).

i feel this is a nice idea but should be expanded on e.g if your person is wearing a firesword and platemail the graphic shows a firesword and plate mail i feel this would be a nice touch

I'll explain. New graphics have been posted MANY times!! You reliaze how long it would take to show a graphic for each weapon?! You forget you have to do 4 drawings of each of them. Please don't post about more graphics, the design team has much more important things to do then make diferent graphics for each weapon.

Contrary to many others before who asked for every different piece of equipment to be shown on the character's graphic, what Ellaron was asking for was just a graphic in general like we have now, only that they don't hold any weapons at all. Although I'm not saying that this task is much easier, I do agree with him since I fight for about 0.05% of my time in Illarion and I think it looks really stupid sometimes when your holding a sword and shield when you're sitting around a campfire, or talking in an emotional scene, etc. Not to mention a graphic without weapons would encourage less fighting and more roleplaying. But then again, the characters might look dull with nothing in their hands...

this is possible (in principle) but not important at the moment.

Thankyou Dyluck for taking the time to read my post.  Illarion is a role playing game and though most people seem to play a roll where they have to be the strongest or most powerfull whatever, I am playing as an elderly peacefull druid. It's a bit hard to spread the message of peace while waving a huge sword around. I dont think that it should be too hard to implement, it's the same graphic we have now but with the weapon deleted. Perhaps there could be a key to press to swap between the two. I must confess a complete ignorance of programming though so perhaps it's not that simple. As to the team having more to worry about at the moment I agree but since the board is still here I thought I would use it.

In the future it would be nice to see some system where your normal character picture has no weapons and such, but when you 'lock onto' someone, your character has weapons.  Even if it is just the classic sword and shield.  It would also help identify murderers in crowded places.

i don't want to desillusion you, but maybe you'll have a look at the news-page and brors request for help on the main-board. luxory-points and the map are not of real importance at the moment. you don't seem to realize whats going on, huh? nice wishes and good proposals are not the kind of stuff which build up illarion basically.

You never know what you'll think about doing in the future, and we do realize that it won't come anytime soon, but these are just things that you might be able to use someday.  We just discuss it and maybe by the time you consider making improvements, this idea will be refined to something we all think is good.

well, i just feel like in the following situation:
we don't have a wheel at the moment and people come up with suggestions what features their ferrari should have.
