Have any of you ever heard of the game-cheating program called ArtMoney? It was not intended for use in omline games such as Illarion, but you guys need to download the freeware version and make sure nobody can "hack" their own account and get more money, better weapons, ect. Is all the information about how much money a person has and such stored on their own computer? That might be worse. With ArtMoney you can go into every bit of information and change it's values... as long as its on your compuer I think. You can search by float, standard, interger ect. and then filter thse values out 'till you come to the one you want to change. And of course I dont use this (you dont see me running around with a billion ingots do you?). I myself dont really fully understand the manual anyway, but my friend gave me some values to change for DX-Ball 2 (and they're very useful!!). Anyway, wanted to let you guys know about this...

No need to worry. Your money, attributes, items, and everything but the names you know and the amount of the map you've covered is in the database, rather than your computer.

I also heard of programs that were designed to attack database-based systems, I seem to remember hearing of a hack someone made so they could download and upload Diablo II characters on and off the main server. Is the database stuff encrypted at all? Just out of curiosity.

PS: God loves PGP...

All the important information (the map, your items, your characters skills and attributes, scripts, my bank account number, ...) is OF CORSE NOT STORED ON YOUR LOCAL MACHINE.
What did you believe is the server there for?

You know, artmoney is actually a trojan, so if you DO have it you'd best delete it (run AVG or some similar anitvirus program if you dont believe me). I dont know exactly what it does but trojans are never good.

Anyone need some money? Martin's feeling Generous today, he just doesn't know it yet...
Disclaimer: For those dumb enough to believe I actually hacked the server, no. For those even dumber who believe Martin's Bank account number is actually on the server, no. For those who are still considering hacking the server just to double check in the event that I am completely wrong and martin's bank acc number is on the server.
no.

a Hex Editor (it was proven at many games) can not do any influance on numbers, or values of online games like Illarion. Everytime you set a value, there is a different value saved on the server. So even if you type 999999999 of mony, you will always have 100 no metter how hard you try!
