While you slept, it seems someone posted handbills throughout the city of Trollsbane... In elegant hand they read:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

People of Trollsbane!

A recent immigrant to your town, I wish to introduce myself. I am Junior Master Tertius Calvertsman of the Malachite Hills Conservatory (He., D.L.C.A.). It is my wish to offer you, the people of my new home, my humble services. In becoming the youngest ever Undermaster of the aforementioned academy, I spent many years immersing myself in the study of ETHICS, LOGIC, RHETORIC, and METAPHYSICS(non-thaumaturgical). When I am not about my mundane offices, I can be found most often at the library or in any gathering of prudent persons. To wit; I shall be available henceforth to assist in all cognitive tasks which my particular abillities may suit:

The Ineffible Effed!

The Inscrutible Screwed!

Riddles Parsed
(And Sometimes Answered!)

Refferance Service of all Manner of Arcana!

Insights Furnished in a Timely Manner!

Advice Regarding all 'Problems of Living'!

Lessons in the Cognitive Arts by Appointment.

All Private Commnications Held
in Strictest Confidence.

Witty Repartee No Extra Charge!

And gentlefolk, remember: Because wisdom is the highest aim of reasoned beings, and the inward journey the most challenging of all, knowlege must be free to those who earnestly seek it.
(PLEASE REMEMBER, THE PHILOSOPHER WORKS ON TIPS)

Stamped by woodblock at the margin of each Handbill, an addendum reads:

Due to the regrettable internecine strife in town these days, I must away to the wilderness for some weeks to find the serenity to further my studies. Please notify me by post of any services you may wish of me. As to where I shall be, Who Knows? I intend to see as much of this Isle as I safely can before returning.
