hi there i have a question.

when i was playing today it seemed extremly laggy.
especially the chatbox was refreshing at an extremly slow rate.
when i said on the marked place of trolls bane that id leave i only saw that text in the chat window when i arrived in varshikar and that is quite a walk. i found it impossible to follow conversations.
there were a lot of people playing at that time (23) so that might be the reason but i really am not sure.

i was wondering if that was just me or if this was for all
(i have a rather fast internet connection and had never any problems playing online gamres).

is there any way to increase the refresh rate of the chatwindow? or maybe something wrong with my settings what i really dont think.

Nope just really freaking laggy. I had it too, others probobly did as well.

The chatbox only "refreshes" if your character hears something. You don't hear all conversations all over the island, you just hear what characters say that are close to you (app. the area you can also see in the client).

It's not really a chatbox but a box where you can see what others have said, even if it is some minutes ago. You can scroll in it with the page up and down keys.

About the lag, I can't tell anything since I wasn't online. Usually, it has nothing to do with your internet connection except you are using i.e. filesharing tools that use a lot of bandwidth.

He didn't see his own speech until several minutes later.
However, there is a scrolling function in the text window using the page up and page down keys. If you accidentially scrolled the text up you won't see new text until the list is filled to the point that the text appears in the visible section.

hmm could be that i hit the page up button by accident.
thanks for the hint with the page up + down. i did not even know about it. makes talking way easier.
