I know that both will be implemented, but i am just wondering if it will be any time soon. It's not really so much as I want tolearn them as that i think it would be more interesting to have them around, and also I have seen these what seem to be small monuments (A rock or statue, with 3 bushes on eithger side, and then farmland in front), and am wondering if this will be used to learn one of the types of magic, sort of like with runes. Sorry if you consider this useless I am just curious as to this matter.

That would be the shrine to Oldra, goddess of farming, fertility, etc. The patch of ground in front of it is supposed to be the "Ever-lasting Wheat", so I hear. I think the Ever-lasting Wheat always gets cut down by someone every once in a while, though :P .

I never see it with wheat there, and i've seen several of those scattered......

For the wheat, that's because someone has already come by and hacked it down. Knowingly or unknowingly :P .

For the statues/shrines, there are several of them all over the island, but they are dedicated to different gods/goddesses. The statue graphic just happens to look the same  .

At the moment, the development state of priest magic is as follows :
- Priest magic is being defined (strutured and planned). Technically it will most likely become useable when the new script languague works completely. Both new magic system and priest spells (prayers) are being put into tables for structured overview. This will still take some time, since it's huge. Means : We're putting "what will it do, what will it need" into tables, to become a kind of to-do-list.

De'am, that actuially would work for priest spells, since you get psalms or whatever from shrines, i think that's what the manual had said...

And damien, sounds good, have any status for the bard magic, or is that coming later?

I see, I was curious about bard music since a few of my freinds are rping a bard currently and it would be better for them to actually have the bard spells. Maybe for bards that have a few references saying they truly rp a bard you can give maybe a simple spell that work by one click, as a sample for them? You dont have to, Im just saying it would be cool.

You dont need any spells to truly rp a bard.

just sing, tell stories, recite poems...or teach aspiring bards.

I suppose, Im just sayign it would be nice for them to actually be able to us one of the charm spells ,that i think is mentioned int the manual, on a monster, since that isnt rpable, and other things like that.

Bards dont need magic ;) just some wit and charm and the ability to annoy all those they choose to :)

A bard doesn't always need to be charming.

And on the contrary, it's sometimes frustrating to try RP-ing a bard because everyone is....... so used to finding them annoying. Usually it turns out as a "SHUT UP!" or complete ignoring from everyone around anyway.

The bard's "charm" is that of capturing the audience well  .

Indeed.

There have been many "wanna-be-bards" around some time ago, who weren't able to write even a small poem themselves, uhm, or they were but with totally messed verse metrics AND lyrics...

And if a bard starts to tell a story, it should definitely NOT go like "There wuz this hobbit d00d and he kinda inherited a kewl ring and some day a mighty powerful sorcerer came by who wuz so dammn mighty that wuz like in tibia a lvl 80 or so..."

Some of these more annoying "bards" can really produce this kind of feeling like *use heavy piano with window over bard*
Of course, there have also been several very dammn good played bards in illarion too !
