((OOC-Note: This is a GM-leaded boardquest. Please only post if you are involved in it. Thank you and have fun with reading, and sorry for my bad english (-; ))

Caitlin stands infront of her depot. Slowly she packs some things for her planned journey.
She wears her black trousers, a black shirt and a dark cloak. In her belt she has two daggers and a sickle. She places in her bag the gold for the books, a rope, some food and something to drink, her little casket with a needle and some threads, as well as some herbs and her mortar and at least some clothes to change.

She grabs her things and takes a last look to the town before she moves towards harbor.

The Sun warms the ground and just a light wind goes through the woods. It is the end of the month Ronas and the summer comes to his highlight.

From afar she can already see the harbor through the trees.

As Caitlin arrives at the harbor one person is already there. He has started to construct a small raft to bring the group to the next larger harbour. In the next time no ships in the right direction will pass the island, so they must help themself. The person is wearing a black cloak and his face is disguised with a hood. Currently he is carrying some large and heavy pieces of wood to the area where he builds the raft.

"No ship, eh?" she says to Nedor and places her things on the ground to help him with building that boat.

"Do you know in which direction we have to go? Otherwise we could ask the habourmaster."

She looks somehow unknowing to the construct.

In the ruined castle of Varshikar, Moskher pulls off his red, oversized robe, carefully folding it and putting it away in a chest.

"No need to draw attention to myself whilst away," he says to himself.

A cold breeze passes through the walls and gives him shivers as he buttons up a simple brown shirt.

With a smile he says, "This will do better." He feels his face and notices he needs a shave, but decides against it.

On the old, rumpled matress that he uses as a bed lies a backpack with a week's worth of clothes, a journal, and ink; a satchel with a week's worth of food, four bottles of wine in thick skins, and a dagger; and a pouch of three hundred gold coins. He straps the bags over his shoulders and covers it all in a short blue cloak. He places his ornate ceremonial staff in the corner of the room, replacing it with a simple wooden staff that would look inconspicuous.

Looking himself over with a nod, Moskher leaves the castle and begins the arduous walk over the mountains into Trollsbane past the deserts and over the bridge. The journey is short but taxing, and it gives Moskher one last time to see the whole island before his trip. After a stop at the Seahorse to deliver a letter, Moskher heads to the docks where he meets up with Nedor and Caitlin.

As the raft at the docks comes into view, Moskher laughs and says, "I told you I would follow you to the ends of the world, but I never thought that you would take me there in a rickety raft." He blows a kiss to the island one last time before preparing to get on the primitive craft.

Caitlin looks up and grins. "well... not the end of the world, but to the next harbor to get a ship"
She smiles to Moskher and gestures him to help her and Nedor building the little boat.
"It looks well in my eyes." She glances back to Nedor and Moskher.
"Are you able to swim?"

"I suppose so, though no better than a pup when tossed into the water," Moskher says, "but I don't intend to swim. This raft should stay afloat, right?"

Moskher shakes his head, "A prayer to Tanora could never hurt. Shall we?"

Nedor looks at the raft. He doesn't tell anything but it seems that he doesn't feel really safe if he have to use the raft to get to the next harbour. After that, he stands near the raft and looks expectantly to Caitlin.

The raft looks rather simple but quite robust, as long as there is not too much wind. It has a single sail made of white cloth which is tied to a simplistic, rough mast with some pieces of rope.
It seems as if it could carry three or four people of human size, however it would look rather crowded even with two halflings on bord. There are two sticks lying on bord which could be used in lull as a replacement for real oars. All in all one gets the impression that there won't be much luxory while traveling with that thing.
There's not much space left for baggage, maybe three small backpacks filled with the most important items.

The wind is blowing from northwest, the sun is shining. No land can be seen from the shore at the horizont.

Moskher finishes his prayer to Tanora, "And may we travel silently and surely over your waters, Mother."

Moskher is the first to step foot on the simple boat, reaching out his hand to help Caitlin aboard. As he does so, his eyes follow Nedor, quietly watching him.

Caitlin looks to Moskher and then to her bag. "Mh, I think I have to much stuff with me."

She takes some clothes, herbs and some empty bottles out of it and puts it on the ground.

After that, she takes Moskhers hand carefully and enters the boat. "Do we have paddles?"

Knowing only the very basics of sailing, rafts, the ocean and wind, not having the slightest clue where the wind will bring them to, Nedor, Caitlin and Moskher step on the boat and untie it from the land.
They slowly start moving heading southeast, where no land can be seen.
The ocean seems calm, calm enough for the construction of the raft. At the moment.

Silently, the boat loses contact to the island, aiming nowhere. Moskher and Caitlin chat while Nedor nods from time to time. He seems to observe the horizont carefully.

Just as the boat slowly loses the contact with the Island a "kraaah" is heared.

A black crow flies toward the board and lands on Caitlins shoulder.
Caitlin smiles cheerfully. "Ysgar, are you going to accompany us? Thank you my friend!"

One hour can last for at least seven to eight hours if you float on the ocean, not knowing what to do on a boat that is so small that you would not even dare to move your finger. In fact, Nedor is very limited in his gestures by that: Nodding his head nearly caused Moskher to go over bord.
From time to time Ysgar starts soar up, observing the horizont.
After about ... well, some time, maybe 10 hours, maybe 12, maybe even only 2, who knows, Ysgar stays in the air for a rather long time. Suddenly he comes down, landing on Caitlins shoulder. Pointing to the right, seen from the direction of the boats movement, he nods his head twice and says "Kraaaaaaa Krrra".
The then soars up some metres, flies in that direction for a short moment and returns to the shoulder instantly.

Caitlin strokes over Ysgars stomach for a moment and smiles, before she cocks her head to Moskher and Nedor: "He want us to get into that direction, guys".

Moskher dips his oar into the water, carefully paddling the boat into a turn.

The movement of the boat is noticeabley getting to him. His skin has grown pale and small beads of cold sweat form on his forehead.

The wind grows a little stronger and fills the sails which makes the boat drifting in another direction as Moskher tries to force it to.

Nedor helps Moshker paddling, to move the raft in the right direction.

While Moskher and Nedor tries to paddle the boat into the right direction she slowly and very carefull tries to stand up and take in the sail.

Slowly, the raft changes its direction. The wind still blows, but without a sail it does not drive them into the wrong direction anymore.
After about 2 hours of rowing with simple sticks, they first see the large sail of a ship, which motivates them to row stronger and faster. After another 20 minutes, they come noticeably closer to the ship.

They are too far away to see any details. It is a large ship with four sails.

Moskher observes the details of the ship as well as he can from the distance that they are at.

With his hands still on the paddles, he says to Caitlin, "This could be danger or safety--raiders or merchants. Whichever it is we might only know if we get a closer view."

Sceptically she examines the ship in the distance. "What do you think? Shall we call attention?"

Caitlin directs her attention fully to the ship.
"I can see a blue flag hoisted...aaand mh... looks like a lot of wooden cases. I don't think they look like they want to raid someone at any moment... but who knows..."

Nedor watches the sea and doesn't react on what Caitlin said.

"Seems safe enough. Let's flag her down," Moskher says.

He pulls a shirt from his backpack and waves it in the air, trying to get the ship's attention.

The ship continous his travel without recognizing you.

Caitlins whispers to Ysgar. "Come my friend. Go and say Hello to them"She moves her shoulder and with a "Kraaah" the raven flies towards the ship.

Ysgar starts to fly towards the ship. After a while you can watch the ship moving slow and slower but you don't can recognize why and what is happening on the deck.

"I think they're waiting for us," Moskher says with a wink to Caitlin, "Good work."

Moskher starts paddling harder towards the ship.

As Nedor sees what Moshker is doing he starts to help with paddling.

After a while you come nearer to the ship. But what was that? An arrow from the sky, you cant see from where it comes directly. It is falling into the water some meters beside you.
