In the game, it is difficult to tell whether a person is English or German without actually talking to them.  This amounts to many quite a few *embarrasing* situations.  It also makes a bunch of people just walk around going "german?, german?"  I propose that a simple E or D be shown above a character when you press F12.  E represents English, D represents German.  This would be determined by the language settings a player sets during the character creation.  If someone is bilingual, then they select their natural language or email Bror to set that in.  This would be represented by a B.  I realize this would be alot of work to set the bilinguals, but maybe in the next client there could be a drop down menu solely for this purpose.

I agree, many times I ran into people asking for things only to find that they only speak german.  and all I could say is "Ich sprech kien deutche."  and I'm not even sure if I spelt all the words right...  It'd be a great help for those of us who only speaks english or german.

"Ich spreche kein Deutsch." would be 100% correct. ;)

Or you could learn, I could say "Du spreche kein Englische?"... does that mean,
"Do you speak english?"
The words don't look like english but they sound a little like them:
"Dis ist mein..."
"This is my... "
Say these about 5 times, and you'll see the similarity.
But this system could possibly work.

*LOL*
"i don't speak german"="ich spreche kein deutsch"
"do you speak german?"="sprichst du deutsch?"
"this is my..."="das ist mein..." or "dies ist mein..."
(latter one sounds quite similar)

It would prevent quite a bit of spamming during the busier hours I suppose.  Who votes in favor!? :biggrin:

We can integrate the spoken languages in the description text for the players (hair color, eyes, cloth, player languages ...).

If the description text will be available to players in the game, that would work.  I was thinking you could put it beside the character's number, if that's possible to do.  So maybe it could appear like

Astral (9965) E

or

Bror (??) B

E => English
D => German
B => Bilingual

Or just put both letters there for bilinguals.
