Bitte um Spenden für das Serverhousing

Über die letzten Serverausfälle

Der derzeitige Standort unseres Servers wird vermutlich aufgelöst. Deshalb war der Server in der letzten Zeit (und ggf. auch in Zukunft weiterhin) stellenweise nicht erreichbar.

Für eine noch unspezifierte Übergangsfrist können wir den Betrieb eingeschränkt sicherstellen, trotzdem müssen wir die Zeit nutzen, einen alternativen Housing-Anbieter für unseren (Hardware-)Server zu finden.

Bisher war die Unterbringung und Anbindung kostenlos. Bei einem professionellen Housing-Anbieter werden Kosten jeden Monat anfallen, die irgendwie aufgebracht werden müssen.
Um die langfristige Finanzierung sicherzustellen, möchte ich Euch bitten, Fördermitglied von Illarion für lediglich 10.- EUR im Jahr zu werden. Das Formular findet Ihr unter http://illarion.org/community/de_society.php

Die Spenden werden vom Kassenwart Martin Völkel (ingame als Aragon bekannt) verwaltet. Den Gamemastern ist daher auch unbekannt, wer welche Summen gespendet hat. Der Eigentümer des Kontos ist der Verein.

About the last server-offs

The current location of our server will be discontinued probably. Therefore the server was temporary not reachable, maybe even in future.

For an unspecified time we will be able to maintain the service restricted. Nevertheless we have to utilize the time for searching for an alternative offer for housing our (hardware-) server.

Since yet the placement and the connection was free. At a professional housing-supplier there will be charges every month that have to be anted up.

The donation will be administrated by the treasurer of the society Martin Völkel (ingame known as Aragon). It’s unknown for the Gamemasters who donated. The owner of the bank-account is the society.

Well if you don't have a bank account, ask a friend to do it for you over his/her account or send it by mail, which only costs 80 cents if you send it by airmail.

Plus, there is this Western Union thing.

You put your real name there.
The name your parents gave to you. The name that is used in documents.

But to be honest, there were much more people, who promised by email to support us. So it will take much longer until we have the money.

Aber um ehrlich zu sein, es waren wesentlich mehr, die uns per Email versprachen, uns zu unterstützen. Damit wird es wesentlich länger dauern, bis wir die Gesamtsumme erreicht haben.

Until now we have about 1/5th of the needed money.

Der Server wird zwischen 2000-2400 EUR kosten.

I ask you again to donate for the server.
Because as longer as it takes to reach the complete amount for the new server as much more rent for the old one has to be paid. Each month we have to pay a rent of 49.- EUR. With the rest of the money donated from the staff for the old server in the months ago (before we started the new server project), we are able to pay the old server three more months from now on. Than we have to use the money donated for the new one to pay the old one or stop Illarion until we have enough money for the new one.
On the other hand, as faster we are able to pay the new one as faster we save the rent for the old one.

In the moment we need ca. 300.- EUR to have enough for the new server.
Please donate. Many small donations will help also.

Ich bitte euch noch einmal, für den neuen Server zu spenden.
Weil je länger wir brauchen um das Geld für den neuen zu erreichen, desto länger müssen wir Miete für den alten Server zahlen. Jedes Monat zahlen wir 49.- EUR. Mit dem Rest des Geldes, das vom Staff in den Monaten vorher für den alten Server gespendet wurde (bevor das Neue-Server-Projekt begann), können wir von jetzt ab noch drei Monate den alten Server bezahlen. Dann ist es aufgebraucht und wir müssen entweder die Spenden für den neuen Server dazu verwenden oder Illarion so lange abschalten, bis genug Geld für einen neuen Server vorhanden ist.
Auf der anderen Seite könnten wir uns das Geld für die Servermiete des alten sparen, je früher wir genug für den neuen haben.

Im Moment brauchen wir noch ungefähr 300.- EUR um den neuen Server kaufen zu können.

Yeah! Me too, I've got no job... I will get one during summer though... Why doesn't Illarion have any popups?
You could gain some money on that....

While they would gain money, it would no doubt irritate the vast majority of players not to mention lowering the overall tone of the Illarion website and boards.

They're both simple, easy to use and understand and elegant. A bunce of blaringly irritating pop-ups would annoy and lower the tone.

At least...that's my guess, anyway.

if they kept it to a minumum it would be fine. I just hate it when you get 50 when you enter a site. I can live with one popup coming up though.
