Needed:

Someone with the ability to teach magic or with the knowledge of how to do it by yourself.

I have been wanting to get into the magik arts, but am unable to do so by myself. Anyone able to help me will be given a generous reward. I am aware that magic users aren't very common these days, but I am hoping that one will reply. Please contact me in whatever means neccesary

Dear Ules,

The Arts of Thaumaturgy are not for just anyone to know, for they are dangerous. The finding of a Master should not be done with merely a, "Mage Needed" advert, and such a thing I find offensive. It is not only another tool or another skill, it is the very keys to the universe itself.

Instead of advertising such a thing, perhaps you should find a Master on the island and develop a close relationship with that person. Upon doing so, perhaps he may take you as a desciple.

Of course there are those who do not realize the power of which they hold who will teach nearly anyone. I would guess that such people have already contacted you; however, I am quite sure that these people are irresponsible in their ways, and even, perhaps, dangerous.

Your Servant,
Moskher Heszche, Ambassador of Varshikar

Moskher:

I feel I must inform you that I have tried that way. There are very few people who even know what magic is, let alone have the ability to teach it. I would gladly attempt to contact one if i knew of one, and have been trying for an extended period of time. I am aware of the power of magic and hope that anyone who would teach me would be too. I am not some careless moron trying to dabble with things I do not understand.

How do you know that you understand it, when you ask for a teacher of it?
Rethink that Ules.
Magic is of an essence, an evil.
Seeking its power, pointless, and useless. Only means of greed come from the want to learn its power.

Why does talk of magic only draw the most pretentious of prattle from the islanders? Servant of the people, why not allow Ules to find magic. If it rends him apart, then so be it. If he uses it to alter and define the universe, then so be that also.

While walking past, Donal happens to notice the little telltale blue ink. He gives a little yelp of fright before hurrying on.

Kasume:

I understand what magic is, and what its capabilities are. I also understand that few possess the ability to use it. What I don't know is how to learn it, which is what my question is. If I cannot get a teacher, the next best thing would be for me to learn how to do it myself.

What you understand, is what any common man knows.
You know absolutely nothing about magic. Or else you would not seek a person to teach it to you.

Melchirisa, you speak of little but of lost words.

Magic, if used for combat, is cowards play. In latent terms.
It creates some of the most fouled food I've ever tasted.
And its healings are known to leave permanent damage to one's mind.

Magic fouls us all. I've seen it. And as Moskher says, if there be a fool to teach you, he would be arrogant, irresponsible, and dangerous.
Keep away from magic. Its not for our biddings.

Kasume:
It is not in your place to assume I know what anyone else knows about magic. I have magic in my blood. My parents, though seperated from me when I was young, were great magic users. Such a thing in my blood makes me yearn for the ability to use it, and to comprehend its power more than your so called "common man". Thus, before making stereotypical assumptions, you should be sure of what you put, for otherwise you look like a fool.

Well, I must thank you al......wait, none of you helped me at all, but I was able to find help through a few people, and may have a teacher soon. Even if I don't, I have been told how to activate runes, and would do so if I had the proper items. I actually am going to wait for a conclusive answer from a possible teacher. Anyway, thanks for nothing.
