This is more a question to the programmers than a proposal. Is there any plans to make player able to craft a raft? and if not could it be implemented into the game? Let's say raft making requires using some logs and ropes for the raft, and cloth for a sail. The crafting of said object would draw off of carpentry and tailoring, much like firesword draw from magery and blacksmithing

Damien said there were no suitable trees on the island for building boats, a raft I think is technically a boat. I don't think I would want everyone on the island running around with a raft in his or her bag though.

Well obviously you wouldn't be able to take these rafts out of the water and carry them around with you. But untill lots more people come into the game and the world gets bigger there is really very little need for rafts of any type.

That and the fact that the end of the world seems to be only a few feet off the west coast of Greenbriar. We wouldn't want you all falling off the edge of the planet.

good Idea.. but every single person on the island would -have- to get a raft.. since the island isn't that big the shore would be litered with them. and of course since the end of the world is so close we would have stupid explorers falling off all the time. now a horse....




EDIT: another thought.. can you immagine the Chaos? !GM i've fallen off the world. !GM I was wrong.. you can't sail off the edge and live, come save me. and so on

Easy way around that is to make clear that if you are lost at sea you cannot get resurected . You'll be surprised how few rafts are used.

and maybe some seamonsters for further discouragement..
