My boyfriend somehow got the IP address (or so he says) for the game server and now he is going to try and crash it! He can't really do this can he???? What can we do about it if he can????

He can do it maybe, but as soon as he tries it or even manages to do that he is guilty of breaking the law. He's doing damage to property then, he should be aware of that and count his money, because there'd be a damn lot to pay.

Honestly, it isn't easy to crash a server these days. Having an IP address means absolutely nothing unless you have some bad-ass skill to get past all the limited user access, firewalled, and encrypted security. Hacking a forum account is simple with a password cracker. But server security is a whole new ballgame. Lets just hope he forgets to reroute the signal and bounce it through a few other networks first.....or that the illarion server has a hell of a tracing program. Then he will be a problem for all of about thirty seconds. Hee hee hee.

Just make sure he cannot try that from your hardware or your ISP user ID(s), else it may happen that your server access will be denied completely ( Resulting in you being totally unable to play too).
