Hochachtungsvoll,

Caitlin Fergus.

Greetings citizens of Troll’s Bane!

My name is Caitlin Fergus and I’m one of the candidates of the Triumvirat-election and therefore I want to introduce myself and my aims and intentions here:

Even if I’m just 20 summer old, life has teached me much. I grew up as an orphan on the main-land and mostly I stole the things which I need to live. Some people tried to dissuade me from telling that in public, but why? It just shows that I know what it means to live in the last class of society… to have no luxuries and to be scorned and outcasted.

But I became the help to change my life here… I had the chance to discover my talents and in conclusion Dhalsim himself taught me to become a medico.
And that’s no work for me… it’s something I love to do. To help people.
I don’t make a difference between rich or poor… as less as I want consideration for my help.

And before I will become an engraged response of my writs here from Bishop Galim, I want to mention that the “thievery” of the anvil just was a joke and I hope that he will forgive me that one day, ‘cause the anvil is back there again where he should be.

One of my aims which I have, is the support for reconstruction of the town in Northerot. Not the castle – nobody needs it… but the destroyed houses that are standing there. If we would cooperate and work together we can secure the peace between Northerot and Troll’s bane which is need urgently. I don’t want to see how the tragedy repeats again…

My next intention is a to build a hospital in Troll’s Bane. Most of the time when something happened the seahorse is used, but at last it is no establishment for such things. It isn’t located central enough for a badly-wounded.
Even the room above the library has no entrance anymore and it would be too small anyway.
From there it is important to build such a hospital or at least to reconstruct an unused building with this in mind.

I look forward to a fair election-contest – may the better one will win.

Yours respectfully

Caitlin Fergus

Galim reads the letter, shakes his head and writes after it with a colepen an own letter

How have your plans to rebuild Northerot with the man power and the money of Trolls Bane to do with your friendship and close connections to Aristeaus and his other men of his group which plans to rebuild the north and found a new Northerot? A group who's members asked extra for a vote for the election so that they can have influence on the "who".

And with the anvil, we will see, perhaps in 100 or 150 years, hehe.

I don't know what you want to imply my intentions, Galim, but I'm disappointed somehow.

Tell me another way. What is it what YOU want? The war with Northerot again? Again senseless bloodshed?

Why not providing that such things will not happen again?

and concerning Aristeaus:
Yes, he is a good friend of mine. Do you know him anyway? He is a good man.

The war will comes with their plans to hide and give protection to peoples who committed crimes in Trolls Bane. How shall friendly relationships be possible to a town which hides the man or women who killed your beloved person or stolen your valuable items?

Aristeaus is a friend on my own, but I don't set friendship over policy. Is the friendship more important for you than the right political desicions in the name of the peoples of Trolls Bane? More important than their interests?

It is okay for you to let a citizen of Trolls Bane build up a house and pay for it in Northerot so that later the murderer of his best friend or the thief of his family treasures can live there?

For me that is not okay. I know, not everyone of northerot are criminals. But there will be some. And more in the future. Because every criminal will hide in northerot and come to Trolls Bane to do crimes, and hides after it up there again.

Galim shows his love for the battle again, trying to provoke conflicts. Of course he'd love to see a war, because that would fill his pockets. There's no better time to make large allotments of gold other than when weapons and suits of armour are in demand.

Galim, with all due respect to your benevolent motives, but you make a town that is filled with good people, as well as former rapists, thieves and murderers look like a paradise. Troll's Bane is not the haven you seem to make it. Stating that criminals will reside in Northerot and using that as an argument, because Fergus is befriended with the good man Aristeaus, is simply preposterous. It's like saying Troll's Bane is filled with angels.

Caitlin Fergus, what are your prospective policies towards the wildlife around Troll's Bane?

How are you planning on funding your "projects"? Force every citizen to pay an equal tariff? And this is to rebuild the homes of some town you would have no jurisdiction over? Would you contribute your own money for such a cause?

Do you have the town's best interests in mind? You will build a hospital, okay, but who will run it? How much will supplies cost? Is it even needed?

How do you feel about trade? Will you let people from out of the town enter, milk our economy, and then leave?

How often do will you have time to meet with the people you want to represent?

That is all for now.

A living man can buy many things from you, the dead one just his armor and weapon before he goes into war.

It will surprise you, but I prefer peace.

But I prefer righteousness too.

But how can it be righteousness when a town hides and protects criminals who commited crimes in the other one? How can so be peace? The other town shows no respect for the victims and the law of the other, and it is a hit in their face.

That have to be changed. The new town need agreements with Trolls Bane in which they make it clear that criminals, who done crimes in Trolls Bane WON'T come away without punishment which satisfied both sides. Of course the same would count the other way too. Peoples of Trolls Bane who committed crimes in the new town shouldn't be hid and protected.

That would be the best to prevent war.

Limit your actions to the borders of Silverbrand, Novice Galim.
Trollsbane is not your playground, Dwarf.
Dont interfere with the developments of this town.
As long you are a citizen of Silverbrand you should keep your mouth shut, because its none of your buissness.

Or are you bored, little warmonger, and looking for some passtime activities ?

Yours,
Kin

Kin, you should write something good and interesting for the topic, and not such dumb. So if you have nothing to say about the topic, shut up. I am embassador of Silverbrand for Trolls Bane, so I represent the interest of Silverbrand in and at Trolls Bane. That give me reason enough to talk here. And this topic is for interest for the whole Isle, not just Trolls Bane. Because a war would concern everyone.

Someone with no political wisdom like you should simply shut up as long as he has no smart words to say about the topic.

And I am Bishop, not Novice. But someone with that few respect for that or just the limited brainpower have of course no clue about that.

"I am embassador of Silverbrand for Trolls Bane, so I represent the interest of Silverbrand in and at Trolls Bane."
Let me rephrase that, so everybody will understand what the true meanings of these words are.
Yes, even those with the limited brainpower.
"I am here to shape Trollsbane according to the interessts of Silverbrand."

"Because a war would concern everyone."
You are the only one who is speaking about war. Everyone else, that I have listened to is talking about peace and the peaceful reconstrution and healing of wounds that have been caused by the warmongers of Silverbrand, with you at the very beginning of everything.

I will continue to call you Novice, no matter what kind of selfproclaimed title you give yourself.
This shall be a reminder to you, that you still have to learn, even when you think that you are having such nice traits like "political wisdom", which you clearly lack of in my eyes.
Unlike some of our new candidates.

Of course, I have to excuse myself for the choice of my simple and blunt words, but after all I had to make sure that you understand the message.
Unfortunatly, your "brainpowers" seem not to be sufficent enouth to realize the truth.

Yours,
Kin

Nice Insults.

Read better and understand.

King Tialdin gave that title to me. But no wonder that you are not smart enough to know this. Your behaviour just shows your lack of respect and knowledge.

And it is no wonder that I lack political wisdom in your eyes. But that means nothing by a man like you.

The interests of Silverbrand are a peaceful, calm, friendly and rich Trolls Bane. Nothing more. And we will help as much as we can so that the town can be that way. But of course peoples like you don't want that.

Because I don't want war I write here. That you should now too with some more of the brainpower you claim to have. You should read the proposal I made how to pretend a war. But of course you had no eyes for that.

Of course I have my problems with the new tongue, my mothertongue is the old one. We can continue to speak in the old tongue. do you udnerstand that language? No? So, strange. i speak both languages, but you just one. Interesting. But I lack brainpower because I don't speak my second language as good as you your mother language? Thats a pityfull try of insulting me.

Just to inform you, i won't continue to argue with you, it is useless. You have no interest in serious discussions, just in insults. Until you don't start to change your beaviour and argue seriously, i will ignore you.

Kinfail could you keep these arguements out of the ladies political writings. What ever arguement yourself and Galim have can easily be settled by verbal means..

Again, a group of citizens is gathering on the market of Troll's Bane. In its mid, a well-known man is holding a monologue.

Fellow citizens, listen. Once, Northerot was the hotbed for criminals and evil creatures. Remember the time we went there to stop it? Sure you do. Maybe some of your relatives, or even family members lost their lives in that cruel war. But we were victorious. Elder Damien and myself sealed the castle of Northerot, we burned down all houses to make settlement impossible. You remember why we did that? The whole area is cursed. Hear it: cursed! There is no way to achieve a settlement of righteous people. Not in the past, not in the present, and not in the future. But this young girl, who never experienced real tragedy like the Northerot war, who never felt deep hatred towards the enemies of our town, wants to fertilize the still sleeping seeds of evil. Will you support that?

For a short moment, the man looks down to the floor looking sad in remembrance. But he continues his speech shortly later.

You know what this girl wants from you? I mean, stones for building houses don't walk itself out of the mine, they don't pile itself to houses. All this needs a huge amount of money, your money. Have you ever considered that this will mean a tax for you? Troll's Bane never had a tax before. You are used to not paying tax. But what now? Wouldn't it be better to think on ourselves in before? Our ramshackle town wall needs work. The guard needs training and equipment. The houses need renevals. But what now? Is Northerot more important than Troll's Bane? This girls thinks this way. Consider that point.

Again, he stops for a second, letting the people talk about it.

Listen fellows citizens, she wants to build a hospital. Again, she needs your money, your property for it. She doesn't mention it, but this insight will hit you like a dwarven smithing hammer after you voted her in place. So ask yourself: are we in need of a hospital in a town where nearly everyone knows a bit about healing minor wounds, and priests are never far away? But hey, if I am wrong, feel free to give her half of your property to build a hospital. I will cancel citizenship if this ever happens. And so will do many others. Not that I am stingy, but I won't accept a government deciding about my property.

The speaker wipes his black cloak back to reveal a black armor showing a little golden ring of runes on its breast, covered with two crossed symbolic katanas. His sword hanging aside, he stretches himself to full size and continues his speech.

But there is more than saving your property from a greedy government. Sure, we enjoy a time of peace at the moment. Currently, everything is calm. But everything is temporary. From now to then a dark army could face us. History has proven that these incidents aren't plannable. And again, I ask you, the people of Troll's Bane, will you follow a weak and immature girl into a war? You have seen the masterpiece drawing on the black board before. This cute little girl can impress men for sure. But look at her closer, she neither can hold a sword, nor is she in knowledge of magic to protect you.

Listen my friends, she's undoubted skilled in several aspects of life. We all need her abilities, we all respect her doings. She is a good example for many of us.

But this town needs a strong and brave leader in its goverment, not a benefactor.

Again, the speaker leaves without any applause letting the people discuss the words.

Sitting within the tavern of trollsbane a man nurses a bottle of beer in his hand and listens to the conversation's circling the room. People speak of the various candidates for the comming election and many speak of a speach they had heard within the market not long past. speach about needing a great warrior and other rumours about the young female candidate not having the experience needed to make rational decisions.

After sometime the man stands and holds his beer into the air with one hand and hits the table with his other.

' Your attention please friends '

The patrons of the tavern turn to the man who spoke, most recognising him and those who do not get quitened down by those who do.

' I would like to give a small speach about bravery and what it means to be brave, a story if you will '

The man gestures to the people listening with his beer and smiles broadly.

' Darkness my friends shall allways be present, that is why a person of bravery is needed to hold the light forth and guide the way for others. the light burns and can not be held by many that is why a person of bravery and honour is needed. How can someone speak of truth without first experiencing darkness, how can someone speak of bravery before knowing fear!

This young lady, whom many speak of, Caitlin be her name, who many dismiss without thought has faced more in her years than many have had to face in a lifetime. Surviving, trapped and with an injured man for many days within a lightless cave. Putting this mans health who she doesnt know before her own! yes friends. And this man was a man of the guard, im sure she knew this, and even though this man liked her not, she still cared for him. '

The man takes a drink from his beer and clears his throat.

' A lady whose motives were once questioned, who still put herself in danger to aid the town which once spurned her! Setting forth into areas of her past which she would rather be left in the past to aid the citizens of this very town, and to help bring peace to those whose death brought to them not peace but damnation. Yes damnation until this lady freed them from thier shackles to this earth. '

The speaker looks to each man and woman within the tavern before continuing.

' Ahhh yes Northerot. Northerot, a place which has a history, where man fought his fellow man. Where hatred burned deeply. '

The man gestures to a certain group of men who sit on thier own table and gestures to the swords at thier sides.

' Yes this lady was not present in this war where many died protecting thier interests.
What does this mean? She is unexperienced? She doesnt know about pain?.
I say NO! this means unlike many of this isle, who's memories of the past still burn deeply, she can look to all men and woman and judge them for who they are where it counts. In the present.
The past is the past, and that is where it should stay, To live in the past is to stagnate, it is to the present we should be looking..
We need someone with new ideas, someone who doesnt dwell on old grudges, someone who judges not what was done many years ago but on what is done now!

She may not be a master swordsman or a great mage, but do we look for this in a council member! do we look for a slayer of men or do we look for a thinker! a person who can look at a problem and solve it without drawing steel, ask yourself this my friends. I know what i would want. '

Lowering his beer the man draws his sword from its sheath at its side and raises it to the air.

'But if there is trouble lads and ladies, im sure us old dogs can quell it!'

Many of the patrons stand and laugh heartily before drawing thier own blades and holding them forth.
