in my few days of playing i find something to be very disturbing

i love illarion for its possibilty to get jobs.. to work hard.. and to make money.. the trading makes contacts to player and so on and so forth..

in my eyes the basics of the trading are "concurence"
and exactly thats what im missing..

the trees grow again after too short time.. the mines have unlimited reserves.. the pigs grow in an enormous speed and so on and so forth..

this results in standart prices.. every knows how much something is worth and surely doesnt pay more.. in real life there are times when resources are short and prices high.. thats what makes the trading interesting and what makes one keep big reserves..

at the moment one knows that 100 skins give 100 gold.. i find that to be a bit unrealistic..

my idea would be that the GM's take the place of weather gods of somekind.. and that there are days.. maybe even weeks.. when the trees grow much slower.. or that the coal mine doesnt deliver anymore.. i think such random events would add lots to the trading system cause one really needs to think and to bargain for trading.. of course i dont know if the GM's can take influence on these things.. but i think it would be an idea..

hope this idea wasnt brought up before.. tell me what you think about that

Resources wise, some richer characters will pay more than normal for them. There have been times when resources went short. Such as herbs becoming scarce during the drought and trees would not grow back. At one time the dwarves had a monopoly on coal and auctioned it for alot of money. There are people harvest an insane amount of trees, but thats more of a problem with the people more than technical aspects. Iron and coal are very abundant elements, you do not see everyone mining gold however. When the ogres took all of the animals (including demons  ) there was nothing to kill, no leather, and no wool.

ok.. well seems like things like that are already being done..
so no need to discuss this further..
sorry for bringing up that topic again :)
