Hello!

I just got an idea on a new material.. What about mithril? I think you should make more advance smithing armors and stuff. Like when you are mining, you get mithril ore same hard as you get gold nuggets! And you could make a better armor than plate. So, what do you say?

why not adding the possibility to make iron better i mean you can make iron to steel than you would better armor too?!

Mitril is suppose to be light "and somewhat inherintly magic" Perhaps mage's could wear mitheril armor without the penalty, but shoul dbe much more rare than gold

How about new herbs??

Moss, Weed, Tumbleweed, Grass, certain berries, Bone dust, slime, seaweed, fluff, honeydew

sites to find them:  Edge of water, city walks, on rocks

Yeah, we need many many new items!
But that about mithril, it should be rare, very rare..even more rare than gold to get..
And new herbs are also good.

@Bror: Please, you should invite those materials. It would be more good and realistic.

ooc: I saw a movie some days ago "the lord of the rings" or what it's called. And the dwarves
where always in their mines and tried to find those "rare" materials (just what i understand of the dwarves).

There are several Graphics "in stack", different colored graphics and different metals. But it would not be very good to implement them now : Since in our smithing system, as it is now, you can smith any item from one ore, and SOME things SHOULD be a little harder to get, we could first use another smithing system, i.e. first make metal bars from about ten to fifteen ore and some coal, and then, smith the things you want with an amount of metal bars and some coal.
That would require the ability to use an amount of necessary things in making items, for that, we would need some new Client or/and Server version.

Just give it some time =)

mithril sucks it is for weak boring rpgs that do not involve roleplaying (runescape)

i like mithril.

mithril dont shine it is heavy as hell looks stupid
and the other metals i stated are real armour metals used in middleages
weeeel besides silver and platinum armour which was used as show for parades of knights through town before an event

i have all the books damy i am just saying in dint really exist and illarion is based on realisum besides i dont really like blue metals that are almost inpenetrable my arrows can hurt NO ONE at all so how do i take out a pk with mithy crap armour on

Mithril is chainmail with many rings,they gave to Bilbo cause its not heavy!
It should be very rare and Mithril should be smithed only by dwaves!

@torekin , i dont agree with you that mithril could be smithed only by dwarves... maybe we would learn to smith mithril a bit more easily than others..

hmmm,the most smithing should be only done by  dwarves,they should tell other races how to smith better stuff maybe!

so,bnack to the maintheme!There should be more spevialyzed work,like more smitjing stuff for dwaves!more carpentary stuff for elves!

erhmh, elves aren't carpenters... i know SOME who don't like the idea of swinging the axe against a living thing (tree)...

If you want to expand the smithing menu for the races, for example dwarves make dwarven armors, elves make elven armor types etc, well, i guess this will not be easily done. But wait with that for the next version(s).

mithril is used in like everyother game we should make our own unique metal for illa that arrows can shoothrough but also protects more then iron plate and is much rarer

You are stupid, sean. If you want a material that exist in other games, then you could name it like in other games.

One main point is, Mithril should not implementet, yet. First we need a new skill system, that noone can learn all perfect. So we gain a better trading system in play and we can decide, who gain a mithril armor. I think, no pk want to search and wait, until he gain enough mithril to learn making a good mithril armor. Every one knows, how hard it is, to learn goldsmithing. If the learning will be harder in all skills and mithrilsmithing should be harder to learn than goldsmithing, it would need weeks or month of learning to become a good mithrilsmith. So all, who take the problems of learning this, can decide, who can buy a mithril armor.

i said mithril EXISTS already in every other godanmed GAME I DONT WANT A METAL THAT EXISTS ALREADY IN EVERY GAME ITS LIKE PLAYING THE SAME GAME CLONES OVER AND OVER
