Illarion.org

Hey everyone,

Im in search for a new RPG. I played Tibia for a long time but with the new updates and overcrowded serves its lost all of its apeal...soo as i said before im in search for a new game. Illarion is one of the sites that i found that interested me.I have read the illarion website and alot of the posts on the forums and im going to read some of the Role Playing forum to kinda get the idea of what the in game experience will be like.

As long as you recognise that there are MAJOR differences between Tibia adn Illarion, youll do ok

The biggest thing might be staying in charector. Tibia is flooded with OOC....

I will try and get away from my tibia habbits and yes i do realize that Tibia and this game are not alike that being said lets just not talk about tibia anymore i came to illarion to get away from that sort of game.

I might not be the best at role playing at first but i hope that with alittle help from people who are experienced Role Players i will get good enough so you can tolerate me

Welcome to Illarion, the roleplay heaven to Tibia's hell (or as best as we try to make it sometimes ).

The only suggestion I'd have for you so far would be the name, if that was the one you were thinking of submitting. Link seems to be from "The Legend of Zelda", Cristo being derived from Alexander Dumas' The Count of Monte Cristo, amongst possible other things. Link is also a word of the noun/verb category, words of which are only allowed in surnames. Eghh, I'm sounding very picky, however, though this is only my personal suggestion. Welcome, and we hope you have a good time here .

I couldnt think of a name at the time so i looked around my house and put togather the Name Link Cristo from the gamecube game Zelda and the movie Count of Monty Cristo but im not satified with it and i dont think the people who approve names were either becuase i submitted the name 3 weeks ago and have yet to get a reply...

but in that time i have found a completely original name i have grown attached to.....Mezios

Remember everybody, that games such as Tibia and Runescape aren't RPGs or meant to be RPGs. They're MUDs, which is a different category, also meaning they aren't inferior to RPGs. Some people just prefer different kinds of fun.

But, I assume you like to roleplay Link. It's actually pretty easy stuff, just imagine it as a play. You make the character, give him his own personality/occupation/etc., and have him interact with others the way you want.

Just use a little thing called common sense, and you'll do fine. Just think things through before you have your character execute an action or say something.

I would HIGHLY recommend you read http://www.moonsilver.de to find out lots of things about how the races act, the history, timeframe, technology, and religious system in Illarion. Read as much as possible to help you make a well designed character. Also read keiken's mini-guide to attributes. http://forum.illarion.org/viewtopic.php?t=9047 Good literacy helps especially when you are talking to people who's native language is not English. I think reading the main page is a given.
