Bread and cakes both sell for 4 gold yet cakes are harder to make and require extra ingredients, so how about increasing the price of cakes to maybe 6 gold. I think this would aslo encourage more people to become bakers, since preparing the grain and flour and dough and then baking it is a lot of work but you only get a measly 4 gold per item right now, so they can't make a decent living and everyone ends up being blacksmiths and miners.

mhm ich denke dyluck hat recht, für torten ist 4 gold zuwenig,.. erstens wegen der zutaten, und zweitens weil backen wirklich die meiste vorarbeit erfordert...6 gold fined ich gut.

Oh really? I never selled anything baked to the NPC... And that though I am peasant and baker by heart! Well OK, I had a big deal with some special marriage and got rid of *some* cakes then, but I believe I could make up my living until now *looksdownonhimself* and not too bad

In my opinion, growing grain and baking cakes an bread and rolls of it is the most interesting job you can do in Troll's Bane right now...
But if you are saying the truth, of course the prices have to be corrected.

i'm in agreement, there are a lot more steps to baking things then say, planting cabbages and blacksmithing, first you got to buy grain, plant grain, harvest grain, flail grain, grind grain, make flour into dough, gather fruit, get wood for fire, and then make the pie/cake. phew, it's hard work (OOC- not to mention a lot of mouse clicking

)
