Story behind the Forest Troll's

Sorry about this if it has already been said. But it is kind of confusing for me. I don't think it is possible to find out in game currently but some of my characters would like to know the origin of the Forest Trolls. The reason being, they were never there before. And for them just to show up one day is a strange thing. There should be a good story to why they suddenly showed up? Perhaps they awoke one day and came out of the trees as they finally were outraged by the commotion of the mortals? Or perhaps someone put them there to protect the forest? Perhaps the forest is alive and now wants to protect itself? (in that case, we need more elves to talk to the trees and calm their spirits) Whatever the story is, It would be great to hear it (if there is one)

Well, that could be one thing. But a demon summoning them makes no sense to me. That was an ig event. For all you know Mr. M could be posing

Anyway, perhaps an explanation of why these troll's just awoke in the forest (before the attack!) happened. They may have been enraged as I said before. The rumors says this, but also, there is no background history to them. What sort of life forms are they and what purpose do they have to serve? Things like this I want to know. Are they here to protect the forest from the evils of the men or to just wreak havoc?

That attack was only a hint.

Yes, I most certainly agree!

Yes, it is nice to have official stories, but in the game how will your character know what is the truth or not? As they say, history is written by the winners.
