Another questions. I just dl'ed it and there are 683 files. What do I do with all of them? In the last two versions I have dled, there weren't so many files. They are quite confusing and I want to get them to work right the first time I extract them. A little help please?

If you notice bugs or things that don't work -- don't panic!

Just post it somewhere in the technical board.

Most files should be located in a directory named "\igr".

Well, most of them are IGR file types but they aren't all in one big file like the last client. What I'm basically is asking, do I just install them all in my current illarion folder without having to sort them out? And what do I do with the older client? Do I delete it?

Well i love it when you break a shovel or something...

However, the characters seem very cartoonish, and the chain mail, robes, and clothing looks like paper...

The Pigs are very small... and blood needs help.. You could use my blood!!! (on graphic board)

Well, the female elf graphic looks horrible, and it's misaligned, the graphic shoes up one tile above where the character actually is.

I won't comment on "horrible"; however, the misalignment will be repaired.

Jesus people, its a new client, its not going to be perfect, instead of complaining about idiots why not start a new thread and list the bugs found so that they can be dealt with. Instead of moaning we should be buying the illi team a round down the pub for the time and effort they have commited to this game.

Some monsters DO follow players... We have not spawned ANY monster inside town.
So, you should ask different.

Some player with wits used the !gm command and told us about that, so the monster was removed.
You have new commandos, use them

I still cant get the new client to work, it says the server wont let me in.

When I first tried the client, it rebooted my computer when attempting to log in. Then I suspected I did something wrong.

Anyhow, my staff doesn't look as dangerous as before. Are all the weapons the same? Even though the graphics don't make it look dangerous.

As for graphics, I LOVE the new graphics. Especially the armour.

Kudos for Illa team.

Edit: Is the new client server on a temp down?

P.s. any way we could have the old graphics for the characters back? I liked those "persons" graphics a LOT...

You can reuse the names.dat files on the new client. Only copy them from the old illarion folder

\oldillarion folder\your charname\names.dat

to

\newillarion folder\yout charname

then you should have your names back

Older character graphics on the new tiles and building graphics, wouldn't look right in my opinion.
