Curses

Today I have to admit something, which brings a little shame upon me. I have been to the official Tibia boards. Sometimes I really like to do this, as it is really amusing to read all these stupid accusations, comments and self-centered posts. But even there in this hugh desert of rational thoughts, sparceling diamonds can be found.
A person called "Khwaj" proposed his idea about a new ban-system for the GMs, and I really like it. Some of his thought can not be transformed into the system of Illarion, but still I just copy his full idea into this post:

Curses.
Punishing people while still allowing them to play? Interesting idea. This would allow GMs to tailor punishments to suit the crime.
I haven't thought this out fully, but I'd suggest using a variety of curses to punish various infringements of the rules. A few examples follow:
Cone of Silence
Or Feeble Voice, Lockjaw, etc. A player guilty of verbal abuse or inappropriate language may suffer this for a period of time. The effect? The player loses the ability to BC, yell, perhaps even to talk and whisper. I can picture these criminals carrying around parcel tags to allow them to communicate...
Burning Depot
Or Unhappy Refuge. A thief-only character might be punished with this. Players suffering from this curse may enter the depot, but they had better carry out their business within quickly! The depot zone is painful to them, and causes them to lose HP at some rate. Perhaps similar to a poisoning, perhaps akin to burning. Note that the churches and temples would do them no harm.
Clockwork Orange
For lack of a better name. The powers that be can afflict an excessive PK with this. The act of targeting another player is a great strain upon the player, and causes an unnatural yet steady loss of HP and MP.
Babbletorment
Perhaps Madspeak or Twisttongue. A GM seeking to punish a char with a lesser punishment might mark them with this curse. The victim suffers from an incontrollable urge to blurt out odd phrases every few minutes. These might include:
Poor Tom's a cold.
I am a monkey.
Hail me, mighty King of Shellfish!
Whack me! I shall gladly pay you!
STOP LOOKING AT ME!
utevo lux (Yes, this would cast the spell if mana is available)
If someone were to come up with a few hundred better phrases, I think this could be a relatively harmless, but very amusing punishment.
Earflood
Or Echo Hammer. A player who spams soon finds that his/her ignore function does not work. What is more, anything he/she hears is repeated between 3 and 5 times! In some cases, such a player may also be cursed with Cone of Silence to prevent them from retaliating.
End of quote.
I especially like "Babbletorment", that really gave me a laugh, and "Clockwork Orange". So, what do you think? Would that be a possible solution also for Illarion?
