I think that within the next week is reasonable. If not, the best option would be to wait a little longer.

It takes so long because it is done manually. Hundreds of people apply every week and there are only 3 or 4 people on the account staff. They must process your account, send you a reply, test your roleplay ability via a story and so forth.
