Transportation magic - Teleport ourself from places to place

Admins have commands to do this, players should too! We should have some teleportation magic that calculates mana usage with distance. Mages can teleport themself if I recall correctly from (nonsense) children books...

Such a teleport thing should
a) not be used for long distances, i.e. between towns
b) use a lot of mana

Its range should ONLY be on sight.

umm,only on sight?thts bad,i mean,why do u need teleport than?it should need a lot of mana at long distances!And there is no teleporting at the moment!:biggrin:

How about you need ingredients that cost a lot of money and it takes a lot of mana to teleport say from the shop to the temple cave.

thats for sure, and it should take alot of mana...
maybe you will find use for it, maybe not... the same as in real...
maybe we will find use for zits... maybe not

how about you can use it to teleport from one focal point of magic (such as those glowing circles) to another but you need special reagents and its not always certain that you will go to the one you want...

Say, here's a good use... from one corner of screen to another.
When you're getting chased by deamon and rotworm and have a lot of mana potions handy.
you teleport from 1 corner to another to lose them.... that's a way to do it... and it works too... but I don't think I'll ever run into that kind of problem. Another situation is where you want to go to the shop after digging. Teleport yourself through the wall... faster, closer, saves time, and gets the job done fast.

Maybe u should have to buy special amulets,that are very expensive!And,that there is a teleport in town,and u have to use the amulet to use the teleport!that would be great!

hmm, maybe a special rune system would be more suitable

there will be palced special fields with runes on it all over the map ... and every place has a special spell for it ...
