It may seem funny for some but typing speech is just like normal speech and it has its own habits, ofcours i will try to control myself, but what if subconciously i will write "lol"? will it be pernament ban after first use?

Naw, not perm ban. But, if you use it constantly without taking notice to other people perhaps.

I ahve a bad habit of saying in real life "LOL" and yes, people look at me like I am pathetic. If you use it in game, any players around you will write #whisper ((watch the computer lingo)) or something of the sort. If it continues however, yes, you may be warned formally by a gm, but a perm. ban will take a few offenses. I'd rather see one "Lol" slip up then some of the rediculous OOC talks that are not wispered. Those drive me nuts when there is more OOC than more IC.

Please, be reasonable. Illarion is not a reformatory out of the 19th century. Still, there are rules, which should be followed. Or maybe it is better to say, that there is a specific culture present in this game. We do not expect you to know everything right from the beginning. But we expect you to learn and understand the dynamics of this game.

Our primary goal is to enable a roleplaying atmosphere. Any kind of abbreviation or OOC talk (like Arkadia mentioned) disturbes this atmosphere and should be avoided. You can make use of a specific command (#me) which will enable you to show emotions and movements of your character, otherwise not supported by the client. You will see that they look much nicer and enable a much more vivid play.

But there are severe rule violations which are punished no matter if you are a new or an old player. If one deliberatly violates our roleplaying code of conduct, which would include for example repeated killings, mindless powergaming or item trading between characters of the same account, this person shows that it has no understanding of roleplay whatsoever. We do not need these people and in this case a ban will stress our point of view.

Understood, i usually don't do the same mistake twice the same day:P so if i get a warning i shall obey it:).

One more question, i know that many ppl use /me command, but also some ppl tend to use *text* symbols as a exprassion of what they do, i atleast do so, is doing ** is allowed?

If you want, but I think #me statements are more useful for that sort of thing.

Ex: #me jumps in the air and kicks Buddha in the teeth.

It would appear on the screen as: [your name] jumps in the air and kicks Buddha in the teeth.

Sometimes using the ** is eaiser than writing a #me command, such has

"Hey hansom *giggles* how are you today" (Just a made up example)

Compared too

#me giggles "He hansom how are you today"

Anyways, I'm sure either way is allowed. It's only a question of what you want to do, or what you feel fits properly. I remember people used to (in game) write *g* which is very short for grin, or smile, but don't do that
