Okay. First of all I would like to congradulate all the people who took Northerot. It was an unexpected and well planned attack. Kudos to you all.

However. After Ark fled and sat in the south for like 10 minutes I logged off and got on my orc character just to piddle around. In town there was alot of chatter about a war up north, so my Orc liking to fight goes there.
She walks around looking for a fight and there comes Shukk, yelling at me asking if I am a citizen of Northerot. Of course I answered no and she said I needed to leave. After I restated that I was here to fight she just hisses and attacks. No she did not kill me with one hit. More like 15 after chasing me around a huge ass room while I kept saying stop. Now she could have easily stopped but Nooooo..Shuk has to kill everything in sight. why? Because Shukk is a goddam pk'er and powergammer that constatnly gets away with such things. Why? I still cannot figure it out. Elaralith logs out and everyone knows...and I still do not think she was punished to my knowledge. Huge accusations about Grant sharing knowldge between characters and nothing happens. Shukk powergammed like hell and his first respsonse to that was "Oh..my character is a temple guard, she is suppose to be tuff" wEll bullshit! Two of my characters are supposed to be tough but that does not give me the reason to fucking powergame! Now then, after I float back to the cross I pass a human female and an elf. They follow me to the cross and immediately begin interrogating me. After a medium group gathers they begin demanding that I be killed. The female human, who watched me float to the fucking cross begins attacking me with the intention of killing me. A couple characters kept yanking her back and shoving her away and she just kept walking around just wanting to kill me.
This game is going to hell.
So now I take a very long break from it. I will pop in on the forums to chatter a bit, but nothing more. I doubt I will play for a very long time.

So to those I like and love, I will miss you in game, but I'll always talk to you on msn or such.

I don't want to hear about bad RP.

Malinne has been sitting in the catacombs of the Northerot castle for a while now having been chased down there by Shukk. I've listened to all the BS that was being talked about. Most of the conversation was in parenthesis and OOC about trying to figure out how to open and close the castle door (Awesome RP folks! I should learn from you!). About logging out at opportune moments, well, Shukk had the honor of doing the same thing earlier, so no big deal if I do it, right? Now since Malinne is pretty beat up from the surprise attack, she's deciding to hide in the shadows of the catacombs, no plans to attack, just shout things and have them echo throughout the castle. But I guess it would be better RP to let the people kill me and be stuck in the castle as a little cloud. Everyone else seems to know best in everything and it's okay to treat me like a retard when I do something so horribly wrong for once.

the talk about the gates were, because someone closed them by accident, and we didn't knew how to open them again ^ ^.

AFAIK the gates were discussed about during these ocassions:
1.) Someone locked the attackers inside the castle, but was reasonable enough to open them again after pointed out that the locks were probably inside and such.

2.) The gates were accidentally closed by someone, trapping people inside. Since there was no IC means to open the gates, it to my understanding had to be discussed OOC.

Damn. Defeat.

Yes. Locks only on the inside. Just like my apartment and every other house in the world. We never leave because we cannot lock the doors behind us. Sounds pretty FUCKING STUPID doesn't it?

In order to close the gates, no one can be standing on the squares where the gates are. so obviously no one was hitting Vahkos at the time.

Here I go off and give you guys credit for a good invasion, but the more I learn about what happened after I fled the more disapointed I get.

Getting hit by a big heavy door might hurt and knock them back giving the opportunity to the residents of the house to trap them inside and wait for backup to arrive and kill them all. Oh wait, that would require some roleplaying.

Alright to clear things up. This is what happened with the gate from my point of view:

Vahkos ran and closed one gate....no one was hitting him.
He went for the next still no one then they hit him through the door. Mind you I was standing a few squares away. Then being tricked everyone whined that it waas unfair and they said they could smash it with their number of people. I remember when about 6 people were in jail...wouldn't they be able to smash the gates? Then when Vahkos gave in to the whines everyone inside was happy because they got their way and played it off like the whole incident was funny. I wonder if we didn't let them out? Everything is okay when you get your way.


By ark...without you the game will be a peaceful game where there is no drama. Everyone will be nice and sound. oh yea....and boring! Miss ya Ark hope you come back

oh, and there was a cloud inside of the castle, trapped by the closed gates. because of that we wanted to have them open fast.

the castle full of enemys, you walk up and close the door while they runs out. how long do ya think will that door hold? you, an weak elf, is able to push the gate against 9 guys who are running out?

Ark didn't close the gates...It was vahkos and everyone was a bit back and took some time to come...They almost hit him but he close the other gate intime.

Vahkos should have left them there. If they could smash down the gate then fine...let them sit there for like a day and let a gm take down the gate. That is just rediculous they demanded being let out. I could understand if someone was a ghost....but if not....that is the sadest rp I have ever seen or heard of.

Well...just FYI....if there was someone as a ghost...they should ahve simply logged out and waited for the battle to end.
If im standing one side of a locked gate and all my enemies are there on the other side...im not going to open it just to let one hurt one out if it meant they all would get out. If anything you should have let the ghost out and shut the gate again. That would have been the best rp thing to do since ghosts would most likely pass through gates.

Ark came back tried to close it died and stayed there...then me and vahkos retreated and when he closed the gate no one attacked him or was on the black square. Infact I saw an elf run up right when it close and said "Dammit"

And if you want to talk bad rp Shukk has an amazing ability to swing a war axe and push someone back before the swing. Assuming with his foot stil mighty hard to do it fast.

Also would have helped to not ATTACK ON SIGHT even after we died once and were leaving.

we were all rping being really hurt but we knew the gates had to be shut....none of us...or none that I saw attacked a single person after we came back. We went there specifically to close the gates and that was all. WE RP'ED BEING HURT.

Ok, I'm going to attempt to mediate here,as I have no characters invloved in the defence or taking of the castle.

I will not get invloved in the argument of Shukk powergaming, that is up too the GM's to decide upon.

However, the human female who followed you can be accused of attempting to reskill, as you char had already been killed, or pk as she had no fair reason to do so.

Now usually in castles the gates are big iron things, that can be closed and opened using a pully system, now if Valkohs had rp'ed destroying that pulley system, then it wouold be poor rp for them to open the gates again, as however it looks like he closed them from outside the castle, then the attackers inside have every right to open the gates as they only need to use the system that opened the gate, or as I think that the gate is opened by a key, then they could have easily taken the key from a dead gaurd to open it.

As a rule OOC should be kept to a whisper, unless you need to tell a large number of people somthing important to what is going on.

You can lock a door drom the outside, and you can open it from the outside, you can also lock a door from the inside, and open it from the inside, I think that is the poist they are trying to get through.

If no one was attacking Valkhos then fine he can shut the gates, however he didn't rp destroying the opening mechanisim, so they have every right to open it from the inside.

Malinne, there would still be people outside the castle as well and as long as the mechanism for opening it was still intact, they could easily enough open and close the door from the inside anyway.

He didnt rp destroying anything...he rp'ed closing and locking it. If you can all fucking bitch that "wah we could break out" that means I could very fucking easily go get 6-8 players..walk up to silverbrand and demand you open the gates because we would be able to smash in. Yes..somehow I think our Great roleplying dwarves would simply laugh and say no.

The ghost was Glantris Bok, Zesh had closed the door and didnt know how he done it...we were trying to get him out....finally we told him to log because all that time as a ghost would be terrible for him.

This was not during the battle..it was after. So yes..we tried to work hard to get the poor guy out...sorry for the lotsa of (()) but he wouldnt logg..he just hovered there and we felt bad. A GM did show..but finally after we made him understand to logg out..so the GM could do nothing and left.

The actualy invasion I ahve no problem with Galim. Its the fact that so many there are older players and have piss poor game playing ability

We are not talking about the door of your bathroom, but a defensive gate which usually is intented to keep people out. This means, that they are thick and heavy, with most lockstrucktures located logically and by default in "inside" of the gate to prevent most tampering by possible attackers.

Just because no actual players had keys, didn't mean the castle gaurds didn't. Though this should have been organised with a GM so there were some npc gaurds in the castle for you to fight.
