why dont we do it so that people in the game can play music themselfes...
(leave the backround music.... maybe animal noises and such.... but no music its so non real)
like when you use an instrument (shift click) there should be a piano like popup
and you can use the numbers ( 123457890 ) as tagents
and each instrument do a different noise... this could be done by making the game use the
midi instruments that is in the hardware....

and maybe you can load a finished midi file , so you dont have to play the stuff again

Hmm, there's one problem up to now: there isn't a possibility to let a window pop up there you can interact with. Maybe it will be build in later ... would also be useful for the library or similar things. But making it possible to compose own songs IN THE GAME is a thing which is really not needed at the moment. There are some things which are more important!

but its an idea for the future...
i think it sounds cool and each bard would be different
