The Town Guard has gone mad!!

The letter below is written in bad handwriting....

Dear citizens,

Today I entered town and decided I did not want some of my arrows or wool. Since I do not want money either, I dropped them on the ground. Immediately I was confronted by guards. They told me I was breaking the law and that I should stop. I did not know they were guards until later after I dropped more. The guards grabbed me, so I kicked them. After I kicked them, they killed me. I was brought back to life and I went to talk to them. They told me not to do it again, so I did not.

Where is there a law saying not to drop items in town? I have not seen this law.

Later, I went to the tavern to give away thread when the guards came. They told me to leave town so I did. I came back later because I do not believe they have the authority to kick someone out of town for dropping items in the streets. After I dropped some more thread, the guards came and told me to leave. I said I would not so they killed me again. I was brought back again so I went down towards the shop entrance where I met them again. They told me to leave so I went to the east. Once I got there, I wanted to see if I could go out the North way instead because I have not explored that way before. They refused to let me go that way and immediately killed me after I said they had no authority.

The guards are power hungry beasts who have no real authority. The only one of them who I will listen to is their leader. I will be in town later, beasts, so come get me.

The note is not signed because the writer no longer has a name.

Ah yes, a pleasent town it would be indeed if rotting food and monster guts were lying in big piles everywhere, because people couldn't be bothered to do away with them properly... Or perhaps you expect the guard to run along after you with a shovel and bag, to clean up after you?

Ereaes reads the note and nods. Then writes this on a note I saw the guards kill this woman and i was ready with my swords to defend her they had no right to kill again and again. They told me they were town gaurds and knew the rules of town when i said no fighting in town...do they realy? Know this guards if you are to kill people just for disposing of things they do not need then i to shall shall join the fray and protct this citizen. I have just got back to the island and i am disgusted to see what has happend. You followed her and killed her again and again she droped wool that i needed so she was not droping usless things. Remember my name.

Killing someone simply for droping things is over reacting, and sickening, everyone knows that if your drop somthing it gets blown away by the wind, or picked up by someone who may have a use for it. There is no law saying do not drop things in the streets, and if it was really a town gaurd who did this, then I want them suspended and brought to justice on murder charges. This is unacceptable that a member of the town gaurd acts like this, a description is in order to determine who did this.

Yes i have attacked a crazy women.

She was throwing around her rubbish again and again. After that i have shown her the way to the town gates. But she kicked me.
After that she was throwing around her rubbish again. So i want to escort her out of the town. But she kicked me again. The Guards are no toy's who can be kicked when you want it. So i attacked her an send her to the cross. But the woman came back a few minutes later and began again to throw around her rubbish. I see no failure by what i have done.

Death for littering? Why not just pick it up?

That is sickening, you killed a woman for next to no reason, it might have been viable if she had attacked you with a weapon, but she didn't I call upon Hagen to to do somthing about you, that is no way for a town gaurd to act over rubbish which would have been picked up by the children or blown away, it's unbelieveable that you killed her.

Funny, how I get labeled evil or a murder when I have only killed two people this island who is my enemy of war. My actions are wrong!? Yours are not?

Ohh... OK next time i get kicked. I would say only. Sorry for standing in your way.

As i said it the Townguard is no toy to play with. If i see someone attacking a member of us, with a weapon or without is not the point. I will attack him.

Yes kicking is a offence against a member of the Townguard!

By a defenseless woman!? How much did it hurt? Was she threatening your life? Maybe these questions should have crossed your mind.

The townguard has some honor to defend. If we let kick us by a woman what would come next. Children kicking us? Beggars who insults the honor of the guard? If we let her free with this outrage. No one would take us seriously.

We are all fighters. What do you think would a fighter do if he would get kicked again and again. We are no priests. Or people wich are not interested on theire own honor. We are the town guard. And if we attacked we strike back.

A piece of the first paper is circled. The circled part reads:

You were grabbing me so I kicked you away. I only kicked you twice! Not over and over again like you said.

The townguard has some honor to defend
Then defend it...is killing a woman for littering and killing good? Is this what you call honor?

It would have been thought the job of the guard would be to protect and defend, not to fight and murder. A lone woman is grabbed by unfamiliar men, she merely kicked out in self defence. There are more appropriate ways of proving your seriousness than to murder a woman.

Shame on you and your 'honour'.

Yours,
Hermie.

No i attacked a woman who dont want to followed the instructions of the guard. Wo has attacked one of the guards. A person who wants to undermine our authority. I have attacked a person which is dangerous and not worthy to life with civilisated citizens.

And you believe you deserve to? Killing woman who "attack" you is being civilized?

Of course the town guard should be allowed to legally murder poor defenseless women. The safety of the town guard must be our first priority! Nevermind the fact that they are supposed to be looking after the safety of the citizens. The town guard is far more important than any citizen and to murder anyone they wish is their right.

Isn't it obvious that the town guard could be hurt by a woman's kicks? Nevermind the fact that the town guard wears metal armor and anyone that kicked them would hurt themself more than the town guard. We must guard against every possibility that the town guard gets hurt! Don't you know the town guard is no toy? They are just legalized murderers.

No the righteousness of the town guard is infallible. It was very just of the town guard to murder this woman for putting her property on the ground. What if her property on the ground caused a town guard to trip and fall? That would be a catastrophe.

Hurray for the town guard! The ones that guard us so well they cause multiple deaths among us.

She has known that i was angry with her. I has drawn my sword. But she wouldn't hear. Every sensible person would left the town at this point, but no, she has to kick again the armed guard.

No sorry. This was only a provocation. So i have removed her from town with my sword.

She wouldn't be attacked if she followed the instruction of the Guards. But if she think she mustn't hear what the guard order to her. Its her own fault.

Well...don't think this will make people look at the gaurd as a less honorable figure head. There were some alternate solutions, but you decided to kill and ask questions later.

I agree! We should all bow down to the town guard's every demand. Next we should start worshipping them as our true gods. All praise the town guard!

I said it often enough. The town guard is no toy. And when she thinks she can play with her. I showed her the game of the Guard.

No one where stupid enough to kick darlok. But all think ohh... the stupid little townguard.... why should i hear what they say.

No... this istn't the Guard. We defended the town often enough to know what we have done. We have our honor. And such stupid little bitches havent the right to undermine the honor of the guard with theire stupid little games.

Shukk stands at the board inside the town, waiting for Val, who is all the time posting messages. Next times he'll show up to post a message, she'll kill him.

Gaurd who killed this woman your name was not important for me to remember but now it is. If you dare touch her again for just puting her belongings on the ground i will show you my game. I may not be strong like the high and mighty gaurds yet i too have honer and to see a damsell die in front of me for nothing more than putting her things on the ground i shall come to her aid and if you call me a trator or a enemy then so be it i will defend her and any other who is being attacked with out proper reason.

If you have a problem with the things i have done. Clear this with my Captain Hagen von Rabenfeld. He should decide what to do. I bend me to his judgement.

But i would again attack a person who attacks me or another townguard.

But i think civillians couldn't understand us soldiers.

Please tell me i did not hear you right sir guard i am...or should i say was a soldier. If you listen to Hagen then i recomend to Hagen that you are suspended from guard duty. Val and i know the ways of soldiery and many other would agree with what i am about to say even in war you dont kill an unarmed woman .....and by the way your not at war with the people. I heard this woman was tourcherd while she was in jail that would make any one go a little strange. Willum hands the note to a little boy through the jail windows and the boy runs and posts it on the town board.
