War Must Stop!

An elven woman looks stressed, her face grief stricken, fear in her eyes as she writes a letter to the people who would read it...
People of Trollsbane, Silverbrand, Northerot, and those who travel without a home, please hear what I have to say. Tears stain the parchment as she writes on. Don't you see how foolish you all are for fighting the way you do? Look around you. There is threat of war on every front. Can you truly live like that? Do you not think it is wrong to spill blood the way war does? There was a time when this place, this little nook of the world, was more or less peaceful. Now I look around me and I see that every problem is being deludedly "solved" with war! This guild is warring with that group, this town is warring with that kingdom, guilds are banning together to war upon a single group. Perhaps it is because I am elfkind, that I see no point in wasting lives when there is peace to be had. But surely there are others like me, others who do not speak up because they are passive and think that warriors know what is right. My sister is one. She is to be wedded soon. Is she to be wedded into a land of war? Is she to birth children into a land overthrown by endless war? What pains my heart suffers for her, and for all of us. Do you think that by warring, killing, you will end a threat? No! Of course you will not! The people you wish to fight are part of this land, too. They will not go away because you want them to. Do you intend to spill their blood as many times as it takes to rid yourselves of them? They will stand and fight beyond their last breaths. They will always be there, but do you always have to fight with them? How many times must you end their lives for it to become redundant? How many times must someone die before you all see the blood on your hands? If there be a personal grudge, make it be a personal one. Do not make war because there are a few who disagree. I have friends everywhere. Being a Seeker I have committed myself to my guildmates, but I can not fight in this war. The ideals by which you slay are wrong. I will not spill the blood of friends or anyone I do not know for the hatred of someone else simply because they are in the same guild, or group. If someone has wronged you, think on it this way: it is your fight, your deal. If you need the help of a friend do not hesitate to ask. But do not bring an absurd amount of people to war because you have a problem. Face it youself. And let those who would live passive walk the streets without fear for their lives.
If all you do is pass this note by, I hope at least you do not sneer. Every word is heartfelt. And if you all still go to war, know that I will not be there save to help the injured, whomever they might be. And in your hearts as you shoot your bow, thrust your spears, weild your swords, staffs, and magic.... remember what I have applied here and understand the reality of what you are truly doing. You are not bringing the land together... You are tearing it apart.
