Dear Algoran,
Algoran wrote:Yet she say more than once "of that I have divine knowledge... ". She makes out she has the ear of the Gods and they have hers.
I like to draw your attention to other people, which also get the vision of a neverending prayer. It isn't only Elaralith, which have the ear of the gods.
Have a look at the notice of the seer Arslan, which also talks about a prayer.
And I am also convinced, not because Elaralith has said it, that prayer is the way to solve the drought.

With kind regards,

Aragon ben Galwan

Councilor of Lyrenzia

I would like to remind Elaralith that she is not yet welcomed back with open arms. Not by all me, and I can see that there are others who agree.
For common good I and some of my kin are willing to set aside our grudge, but that does not mean that we would have forgiven or forgotten.

All the mistrust and insults you recieve are fruits of your own work, and surely deservedly so. The way you shout in mineshaft, so the echo will answer.

I wouldn't be too quick in rallying behind her banner, nevertheless I keep my word. In the prayer we shall see, but don't expect me to leave my axe at home.

To Elarilith.
I judge as I see. I have watched you for a long time, and we have met many times. Who am I to judge? Coming from you, this is much funnier than you will know.
You ask if I want drought to end. I worked long on building castle, I was spat at and burnt for it. My, and others, blood and sweat hold those stones together. It was only answer then. You "priests" stood silent, or worse attacked those who tried to do something. What did you do witch? Now with the end in site you say you have the answer. HAH! Do you think the people have not been praying? Do you think they, as you, stood silent and watched their children starve? You are evil. Some may not know you, some may forget and forgive your crimes. I KNOW YOU. I WILL NOT FORGET NOR FORGIVE.

To Aragon.
I have not met, or know of Arslan. I have met and know Elarilith. I do not say do not pray. I say go and pray it can do no harm. But I also say beware the witch. She may have heard Arslan and took the vision as her own. Do not listen to me. Search the walls and see she was evil in the past, she has been evil in the present and the future will surprise noone who knows her. She will take power from heading this and will use it badly.

For the FINAL time may I repeat this of which is already posted here far to much.

Elaralith is merely asking us to put aside our differances for a few hours, she has not begged of your forgiveness, and she has apologized. You do what you feel is right with that, but let it be known, that the idea for this is hers right now, and I dont see anything better coming from the lot of you, so either attend the prayer with her on that day, or use hate to guide you upont he rest of your days, but either way this drought will NOT end if we do not show compassion and work together.

San. She has no right to ask many of us anything. She does not beg forgiveness because she thinks she has done no wrong. Her apologies are dry, they do not wash the blood from her hands.
So already someone "knows" the idea of prayer is hers and hers alone. All praise the great and good Elarilith. Do you not see what she does? Where was her compassion? I am not against the prayer just the witch.

Algoran you are allowing your hatred of Elarilith to cloud your judgement. I know you care for the town and its people and I believe the never ending prayer is the best chance we have. You need to search your heart and do what must be done to save the island. I must admit I do not understand this hatred you have. I have always found her to be polite and friendly. Still, that does not matter. What does matter is that as many turn up for the prayer as possible. I and Sam will try our best to be there and, if we still share blood, I ask that you do to. Don't do it for Elarilith if it's that that causes your hesitation. Do it for the people of the island.

Dear Algoran,
By not forgetting or forgiving you only put a curse on your own head....as for me my heart is at peace because I have done all I can to make amends. Truly, you speak a bit of truth. I did not confess nor beg for forgiveness for you or anyone else. I did it for myself. By confessing and asking for forgiveness I returned my heart to peace, whether or not people accept me again does not matter so much to me. But all of this has little to do with the Neverending Prayer. I am but the representative of the gods and what I say comes from the gods themselves. The power lies with the gods. When you hear my words do not think of them as being from "me" because they are not. They come verily from on High. If you hate the gods then perhaps you have reason to not come and pray. If you hate me there is no reason. The prayer draws nigh make well your choice.
Elara's compassion go with you,

To Ellaron. I hear your words. We will always share blood but I am torn. I will think more on it.

To Elarilith. Your heart is at peace because it is as black as your deeds. you forgive yourself too easily. Now you represent the Gods? Your words are those of the Gods? HAH! How quick you lift yourself to their level.

Dear Algoran,
All Priests and Priestesses represent the gods and their words can be those of the gods because the gods use their Priests and Priestesses to speak. We Priests and Priestesses do not believe in "lifting ourselves up" but we believe in humbling ourselves because we have been honored to be used by the gods. I hope I have helped you clear your misconceptions about us Priests and Priestesses.

A humble Elarilith? The powers of the Gods are mighty indeed, to of changed you from the arrogant, puffed up, black hearted, poisonous, lying, murderous witch you are into such. I say read your recent posts. Then ask someone what humble means. Then ask Elara to guide you to see where you went wrong.

The young man seems to be nervous. "What do you think, master... will there be enough spirit for one sacrosanct moment?"

"I really do not know", the elderly figure slowly answers. "Maybe I have underestimated the hatred and selfishness this selfcalled Lord has planted into their hearts." Angrily he puts his wand and stamps it on the wooden floor.

"Get ready", he moaned, "it's a long way to Falkner's Shrine and I don't want to be late."

That you, Elararith, would continue to call yourself a priestess of Elara I find disturbing and a grave insult to Elara.

Again and again you commit atrocities, and expect us to forgive you, and still you call yoruself pure and true...

I for one will never trust you nor have any dealings with you no matter the consequence.

Dear Citizens,

our prayer has brought a first succeed. Seeds were found and planted around the shrine. Be careful with this small seeds!

But the most important thing is now, that the prayer at the shrine never ends. People of the town, take some of your time and walk to the shrine and pray there, so that always a person is there praying to the gods.

And the gods will hear our prayer and the drought will end!

---

I am glad for the success of the prayer, and the turn out was great

there were people even I did not expect, and I believe I even saw our Resident Archer leader Drathe praying to the heavens ;)

The gods have given us a new source.......careful with it now, new seeds are quite fragile....

Walk carefully, and let the island grow to its wonder once more!

Dear good people of Troll's Bane,
My sincere gratitude goes out to you all who came and made the neverending prayer a success! The blessings of the gods came because of our prayers as most of you know. The seedlings were found and we have created another future for our land.

But our work is not finished my friends. The seedlings though they have been planted now with great care will only die if the drought does not go away. That is why we must really continue to pray neverending. The system for this is that each one of us takes a half hour post or longer for prayer at the shrine. When your shift is over someone else should be there. If there is noone make sure you go into town and find someone to replace you and pray for half hour!

I encourage everyone to always be at the shrine praying for the next few days((whenever they are in illarion)), but since this may not be possible the next best thing is half hour shifts.

In this way our prayers really will be neverending. And it does not matter if there is more than one person at the shrine, but there must be a minimum of one person! The mercy of the gods shall descend of us my friends if we do this.

May Elara watch over you all in your prayers,
~Elaralith, Priestess of Elara~

Groulin chuckles as he reads the wall

Dear citizens of Trollsbane,
You are wasting your time. These gods you speak of are inexistant. There is only one god: the almighty and dark Krimjin. If he wills that no plants shall grow, then there is no changing that.

Well into the night people prayed, and talked quietly. Some in lamp light, some in darkness. One tho, a non believer waited till the hustle was but a few. Then with sofend steps unrolled his blanket in the moon shaddow of a trees stump near to the alter its self. The night air, with out its blanket of cloud was set with a chill as the heavans looked down unobscured.

Laying down he rested head on a leather bag, pulling over a side of the corse blanket he settled his thoughts and closed his eyes. Why did he come here if he believed not in the likes of goddesses and thier male counter parts. The carpenter pulled out a stone from under his shoulder and tossed it away. Maybe as Mr Mason had said, I have had a good life of late. Gods or not maybe this would show a little bit of gratituted to who ever is was who watched over him so. He adjusted his hips on the lumpy ground for comfort. Taking one glance to the heavans he wisperd a good night to all the names of the gods. This was not going to be a refreshing sleep.

Pronon,as much as i dislike Elaralith I prayed because I belive it can help drought, that's right help not fix I also belive it will take more than just praying alone to fix the drought.Anyways I've prayed for a few hours as well the thing is that people have to fix there others mistakes as well, and many don't have time to spend hours praying.

Elaralith had stayed by the altar at Falkner's Shrine all through the comings and goings of the faithful. She was still praying when the stars and moon came up. A star shone upon her face and she looked as if she was in another world.

"Elara, the Most Wise, have mercy and give us a chance to learn from our wrongs...
Ushara, Mother of the Earth, forgive us for our transgressions against the earth and let things grow once again for your glory..."

And so Elaralith continued seeming to lack neither food nor sleep.

Rising from an untended, unloved grave a silent spirit rises from the night. He drifts slowly through town...many new faces are surveyed...new places...new loves.
He makes his way up north, to the shrine of Ushara and smiles gently at each of the saplings...the dead elf can see the life energy resonating within each one, and he urges it to flourish. Finally he sees what he arose to find. Kneeling in her own little corner is the Priestess Elaralith, an old and dear friend of this old mage. He places an ethereal hand upon her shoulder and hopes she can feel it. Simonic crouches down lower and whispers into her ear...

"They are proud of you...the ones that matter..."

Simonic arises and kaes his way back through town, to his graves....his bed...his home.

"And now?" the young one looks to his master in eager anticipation, "did we have success?"

The elder looks out of the window, watches some little white clouds that come from open sea. "I am not sure. Many were there, did great jobs and the everlasting prayer works since then. But...",
his eyes are tired and his face seems to be even older than it normaly does, "the Shrine, Falkners Shrine was fouled again. Someone has stolen some of the fir seeds."

The elderly man seems to be furious. "Fools, narrowminded fools - shall the Allmighties wipe out the hole bunch of creeping fools", the young one tries hard to calm down his masters anger, "not all of them are thieves, and theft isn't very poor these days"....

The elder looks at his novice with bloodshot eyes, "they will pay, I curse all of them, with only one twinkle of my eye",
and as he says, his wooden wand seems to change colors , just for the moment of a moment, and while his owner sinks down on his knees in bitter grief, the powerful curse spreads out to reach and follow all of those who fouled that Shrine again.

Silence over the wasteland...

A young Man says:
"I have heard that Dyluck plans to blow up some parts of the Island with his magic experiments. I am scared."
Dear good people of Troll's Bane,
I am sure that most of you have perhaps heard of this rumor...I have heard it and I think this is something we should all pray about because it has the potential to affect us all...whether postively or not so much...
I have in my mind an idea for another great prayer, please share your thoughts!

Do you honestly think that Dyluck would destroy part of the island? When in his past has he done anything to hurt the island? Elaralith, there is no need to pray about Dyluck, but I would love to hold a prayer for Elaralith. As she truely needs us to pray for her, so the gods will help get rid of her horrible thoughts.

May Nargun guide you through the Chaos in your mind Elaralith,
