- To be frank, I did not consider applying to the Academy until a delightful conversation with a certain aspiring druid. I have always lived an aesthetic life, devoting my time to the studies of the mind and philosophy and religious teachings of Eldan and Elara, that I might better understand myself, and others in my unending quest to learn so that I may teach. I feel that I have the drive to pursue magical knowledge, the dedication to endure the challenges and hardships of such a lifestyle, and the impeccable manners, punctuality, and genuine character to both appease any mentor gracious enough to teach me and honor their time with the respect and dedication they deserve. In short, I am here, I am driven to learn, driven to teach what I have learned and I will not give up on this road wheresoever it take me.

- From the other applicants, I guess mine is a bit of a break in trend. Anywho, as much as I know magic would be a nice touch to have in life, let alone the learning possibilities that come with it, I am not sure whether I actually want to pursue it. What I do know right now is that I want to study it extensively- it is the only area (aside from medicine) that I have many questions in and seek much information from, for the sake of learning. I'd be pleased just by being emerged into the magic world and not bother myself of trying to use it as I learn of it. When I finish my studying, however, is when I will choose whether or not to actually pursue this path. I hope you will understand, it's my way of handling learning. I understand it theoretically fully before attempting to do anything with it.

A raven flies over the Magic Academy dropping one black feather in it's wake. A soft breeze picks up the vaned feather turning it gently as it trails to the Academy board where the last parchment is located. The feather's rachis pins to the board as a parchment grows from the soft down.

A Class on Illusion will be offered tomorrow (( today at 6PCST or 11P GMT )) for those interested. A prerequisite is to have one rune. Those without runes may attend but can't actively participate due to physical limitations. Any Master of the Academy is also welcomed to attend and if desire share the teaching time.

I will be giving a lecture over the practicalities of summoning and the many uses and missuses of necromancy as well as a brief overview of necromancy in general.

As I have been asked by a few persons to give me lessons in such I shall simply make the Lecture an open invitation to those wanting to learn a bit more of what necromancy can, can not, and can but should not be used for.

As a side note I will NOT be holding any ritual demonstrations at this time. However if you would like to schedule an appointment I will try to set aside some time for such purpose.

I shall be at the Academy most of the day. There will be more than one lecture so do not worry about missing it.

Since my teacher's manual on the ancient language has crumbled to dust, I am looking for a resourceful mage that can help out with improving my grasp of the ancient language. I do know a few basic facts about ancient, yet my learning did not pass the first few chapters as aforementioned book has vanished.
