Literally, I cannot even log in as Brer now. I would assume I would get some brunt of the blow from the temple. But as soon as I log ingame, I see forces taunting intown every time.

Another possible problem:
Taking blackstones = forbidden
Taking TB keys, and other valuables = fair game?

@ Patric: I said shouldn't, not doesn't.

. Remember Patric, we're all on the same side, we make mistakes, you make mistakes. I hope it would happen no more, or atleast I wouldn't partake in it. ( And stop editing your posts! )
Edit: Maybe I stop posting here, I do 1, small post and 3 come up before I click post!!!

@Alkuurg:
Okay, I get what you've meant with the evil town. Sure it is better to have "real" villains with RP backround than some log-in-kill-log-out thief charas which you see for max. 1 week.
And maybe this topic should be discussed in IRC, but I think everybody said what he wants. What is the sum of that all...?

Also, I'm not saying what Dusty is doing is off, what he is doing is perfectly logical, and facing the same problem I can't say I would do different, it just seems bizarre to the point where you can only raise your brows, and then keep walking.
It seems Illarion has gone from one extreme to another. From throwing villains and criminals to the dogs, to babysitting them. Adding luxuries like instant escape, no fear of jail, places only they can enter, etc. Personally I don't think either extreme can flourish in the way it should.

Honestly, they have been the more honorable IG and have become not only allies, but friends.
They are more honorable because they allianced and made friends with undeads and bandits who do raids on other towns and kidnapp innocents and sacrificing them...
you should listen to yourself and what nonsense you write. all the chars in greensbriar who allianced with the undeads and the bandits shouldnt await that their gods give them a "good" at end of life.

Ku'agor does that right now, after he got yesterday beaten up pretty much by Fooser and an other one...yay on the temple and its members, and their daily terrorizm ignoring every beating up and kill they got <_<
Thats what you should than stop, Nalzaxx. that your guys do something like that, with your protection
That is what angers the good chars being in trollsbane and what makes everything you try with the temple a farce

I waited about an hour before returning.
I would also like to remind you I didn't get clouded, thus the 50% HP I had gotten beaten from me would be nothing more then a few cuts that needed some rest.

Bullshit Ku, more like 5 mintutes. Fooser and I have all ready agreed that we will log when you do it again. And you didn't even roleplay a damn injury! Oh in ooc you did but still. He wasn't in a weakened state and there was no roleplay on your part from fatigue of fighting two people.

Thats the problem!
You beat up Ku'agor, he returns the next moment, you kill Ku'agor, the next day he continues. anything you do changes nothing. you can't do anything against it. and it is annoying that it happens every night. that you know every night when you are not there to help he comes and maybe again kills Brer or whatever.
and that takes the fun.

Did I hear "terrorism"?
That leaves Trollsbane with only one choice.
We will make a pre-emptive strike against Greenbriar. Instead of actually going after Nalzaxx, the source of this, we will engage in a long, pointless, and losing war in Greenbriar, to focus the attention of all these bored temple members to Greenbriar instead of Trollsbane, to direct their terrorism against us. While there, we also plan on exploiting the readily available source of apple pie and carrots.
Temple, we're coming for you!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm, personally for the thief/bandit part, I do play a bandit character, who actually did rob a good amount of characters in the past, and I did NOT have troubles having good RPs with him even when temple was Inexistant/Peaceful. Actually, when temple came off as it is now with all the advantages it got, in the opposite as Alkuurg says, I felt this character LESS fun to play, simply because, what is the fun to play a bandit who has no risk of being caught, no risk of being attacked, just no risks, its too easy.
Ever played a game which you found boring because it was too easy? Well its comparable, the town is harassed all days, no one to defend it, because even if we would get a strong force, we cannot attack the temple its sealed, and the temple will NEVER attack the town if there is a strong force in town, they would never risk losing, that is a fact. Currently in power the temple completely own Trollsbane, the temple completely owns trollsbane in advantages, it just owns it unfairly. Such events like resurrecting Dravian or the 'apparition' of Tybalt were not needed, the temple did not need help, it was already stronger than the town, why did we add more pushed characters?
Now what about the impossibility to make the attacks stop, for the few times it is possible to kill temple members cause they come in town alone, it is not even any use. Even after getting clouded most of the members would probably come back a few minutes after, using some logical RP reasons but still unfair. As example, Dravian cause he would not feel pain since he's a skeleton, same for Retty and Nalzy, Ku cause..erm..well he got no reason so thats even worse. Thought characters such as Dravian Nalzaxx and such can never get killed, simply because they always come in large group when in town, and when finished come back in their highlty sealed temple.
I dont see many solutions, mainly RP ones, such as RPING YOUR WOUNDS, even being a non-living being, when you get clouded, you should have a penalty doing so that you cant go raid the town for TWO RL DAYS. Going to the cross is acted like its shit right now, no one seems to care of it, and thats one of the thing that lowers the RP of the game SLIGHTLY. Personally I always do RP my wounds, some might find it overly, but after getting clouded I would let about 3 days before thinking about fighting again with my characters, its simply to be fair. EVEN if you dont get clouded, you can play wounds, if you had a fight agaist enemys that nearly got you killed with a 'blood critical' please for smile's sakes dont act like nothing happened and your character is still in full shape, at least make it a small wound.
Another solution would be to give more possibilitys for the 'good people', balancing the advantages on both sides. Maybe giving a possibility for them to enter the temple in some way, or add back the 'seal' around the town so undeads cannot go in anymore. Temple is stronger than town in force, that is fine, but AT LEAST make it fair play.

Pft, Stephen didnt lift a finger towards Dusty until the fifth arrow Dusty shot at Stephen. Of course Stephen will do everything he can to kill temple members and if Dusty is protecting them, of course Stephen will toss aside all that Dusty trys to buy him off with to get at the temple members which killed Alli Zelos and helped kidnap Stephen's friends (if he is really a friend to anyone).
But that is for ingame actions and proclamations, but lets just say that Stephen won't be trying to spare briar much more, becuase of Dusty's move.

Garrett, you're full of it!
Trouble is your character is too powerful, powerhungry and arrogant. What could Dusty ever do to your steel hide? Break a fingernail?
No, instead of respecting his request to stop, desist and leave, you cut him down like a rag doll! I hope that makes you a proud 'mighty' warrior! All Hail Stephen, Mighty Halfling Killer!!!
Hell! I've seen more restraint from Nalzaxx and Gort!
Honestly, if your on the side of "good" why is Stephen so hated all across Gobiath? Perhaps it's because he is the "Evil" character here?
All you on the side of "Good" really need to work on your Role-Play as such. You guys are just turning Neutral Characters against you. You want to boost your numbers? Stop acting like you own the place, care for us "non-fighter" types, and quit acting like you have to prove something. Evil's growing because it is organized, nothing more. I have not 'joined' it, but I am practical. Dusty will do what is best to preserve peace in Greenbriar, thats all. He's not good or evil, just practical.

No Garrett, I never confuse the player with the character, but you are responsible for him and his responses.
Dusty isn't 'mad'. If you follow his forums, there is a very logical progression to where he is now. Just because the outcome look strange doesn't make the journey illogical? Did you know Dusty tried to commit suicide a month ago? Mark Armstrong stopped him. Dusty is very troubled by things, but has an overdeveloped sense of duty to his town and its people. There is nothing Dusty has done that is 'mad' or contradictory to his values as a 'neutral' merchant.
Prove me wrong.

I never said otherwise, but just because he has been led to this way doesn't make his entirely greek tragedy evolution come full circle.

Maybe it will, there are always opportunities....
Like if the "Good" ever acted like it and organized, to balance Evil....
But that is up to them.....

In all my experience with Stephen, I would, by no means, put him on the side of good. His motives continue to be far too personal to ever represent the side of good.

I hear what you are saying Arameh about people coming right back in and fighting. I have also heard to hords of undead pwning Sammantha 3 times. I think we need to make a rule of war for in game. I don't mean, line up in a line and then shout rites of honour.
I mean, if you get clouded in a undead attack/battle ground we should have something saying you can't jump right back in. If you get clouded, you should go to the cross and stay at the cross till this is over. If there are enough people dying, move out so others can get in and stand to the side. Anyone at the cross is consitered already beaten. Then when the battle is over, if the undead lose, then they just leave town and rp it as a retreat. If the town loses, well just figure something out from there. At least this would make battles semi fair. That and once you get there, you get such low health that if you step out again, all Ku or Stephen has to do is swing their weapons and it is back to the cross for you.
@Fooser:

I love the picture and the quote! It is so WW dumbo.

Um..what?! When has that happened? Samantha died three times since she exists. And that over many, many month, and not in 2 or 3 days like by many others.
And she once died through Ku'agor attacking her with a quick #me while forst standing infront of her, and than through Retlak attacking without warning when he thought the portal i was casting would be an damage spell. and than through Nalzaxx summoning without warning or #me a mummy right infront of me.
But there was alot of time between those deads
. If you get clouded, you should go to the cross and stay at the cross till this is over
Currently not possible since you have to stand up immediately and collect all the items you lost on the way to the cross, before they get deleted or stolen.

I already proposed rules of war but everyone said it was stupid and would only help me
They don't want it becuase they want to be able to drag wars out for months in real life.

@Sammantha: I could be wrong then. Just that something happened to weaken her a few days ago in the undead attack. There were lots of complains on the forum from what I could see. My mistake.
Also good point about the picking up of stuff. I had forgoten about that. I don't know of an easy way around that unless you ran to get your stuff and then went back to the cross of a point of safety designated by the groups.
@Garett: I think it depends on what is suggested. What did you suggest in the past?
