Illarion was never about fighting. Now you can't even travel between towns without a mighty warrior at your side
Agreed on all points. I say the monsters should be easier to kill, and if they drop huge rewards...like gold, make the amount less. That way, mediocre fighters trying to get good can be employed to aid travelers. It seems like the only way to get what you want in the game is to have maxed out combat skills. My character is a pretty good slasher but he still has trouble trying to do the simplest of tasks in traveling.
Yes, i have died more than on the lichwars. Thats really a problem. What will happen, if we have a war now? Will we die so often, that our chars wouldn't be able to know their names?
And, why are the enemys so strong? its right, that a demon skeletton is dangerous, but a normal skeletton? My Char can only fight them with heavy armour and my skills are good. But my char is a ranger and i dont want to go with heavy metall around...
I didn't read the entire topic but are you sure this is intended behaviour and not another result of someone doing a full server reload without killing off the monsters afterwards?

Maybe someone met a Gnoll and tried to run away back to town, but the Gnoll had the exact same agility as them, so they ran all the way back to town in a deadlock.
Ive had a 10 agility guy outrun a gnoll. Their AI isent that great, normally any monster can be lost in the forest or marshes.
About the random monster thing. Maybe make the nearest monster spawn point about a 2-3 min walking distance from town. Also if a monster attacks/follows some one..It would go back to it's spawn point or home after 5 minutes or so? If that is possible.
Yes, I think the extra monsters in the morning thing does not work to well. As some of them will not get killed, and the mummies in the crypt can easaly kill a newb training. Not to mention they block the ladder.(Can you PLEASE fix that)

if single points are doing multi spawns anyway why not just annex certain spawn points. since one seems to be doing the job of three, plus we've already got monsters that can summon even more. might prevent a super flood.

The multi-spawn bug was solved, it was caused by the same bug as the double-drop of monster loot.
However, the above still stands. I took care of monsters outside their territories by informing the devs often in the last weeks, but as it seems once I am gone for a week there is a complete chaos.
If you encounter monsters who are not in the territories they should be in, do not start complaining posts on the board. Inform Martin, Nitram or Cassandra or anyone else who can kill off the monsters. This monster behaviour is solely caused by a server "feature" which makes is necissary to kill off all monsters after a server reload.
