Error

Logged out by server
Reason: Old Client version
Character: Belgram

Now, how do I fix that?

It should work if you try again, i'm not sure what causes it

It is a timing problem. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. Already fixed on next server. Just try again. I usually get in on the 2nd attempt.

You get the message "unknown harvest item" when clicking with shift onto a tree from which you collected the fruit.

I just walked through a closed door o_O it's the one in the library leading to the little room with the depot and the first ladder. Quite strange.

You can also walk through the door on the second floor into the room with the fireplace. ;)

Both doors ...in the existing client. >.>

When you cook ham at the oven the oven raises every time you put a ham into it and sinks when you take from it. that looks really like the oven raises, sinks, raises, sinks.

Also I have to critizice that some of the new grafics, like the glasoven and the oven for ham, have NO grafik on which they "look" to the south. on all grafics they just show to the west. that makes it nearly impossible to integrate them correctly into every environment.

Is it possible to make tables not fade? Roleplaying around a table is very strange now :? Just a suggestion, not the end of the world ;)

I think the only problem (maybe) with the oven (not really a smoke oven), and the glass furnace is that they are items and only those two items react in the production scripts. A copy-paste-edit-implementation those scripts would have to be done for the 2 new items. Otherwise graphic cake.

Is there no way to make the mouse better, perhaps just like the old client? :(

And you said you increaesed the speed for typing... and it still cuts it off for me. I'll type a sentence, and by the time it's alll up there, the last 5 words will be all screwed up.

Also my suggestions:
When rightclicking a weapon, you could have a 'wield' option.
And also, maybe if you right click something, you could have a drop option.

The scripting is easily done if we had the graphics.

It would also be good if the full smoke oven looked like it was full. :-)

Absolutely not.

Acutally, I found that there is no limitiation. Only when the same key is still pressed, there is a limit, but not when it is a different key. So, I don't know where the slow speed in your client comes from.

One thing I noticed that the other beta testers likely will not is that if one uses the GM runes to turn oneself into another creature it always does it as though the counter is set to 1, even if it isn't.

Same answer as usual: Things that I do not know about are likely not supported :-)

Not a big deal, but. When you're fighting, for instance Mummies, after killing the first one, when you press CTRL + Target to attack the next one, it will start to attack them, and will stop.

Fight the mummies and see what im talkin about : )

As soon as you start a fight your food bar goes straight to full

Posted: Sun Feb 26, 2006 1:03 pm
by Keikan Hiru
When you log in, the server does not send the food value to the client.
Thats why it always apears as empty at start.
Each time you do something that consumes points from your food-value, the client recives the updated information.

Fight (regenerating) does consume points, thats why this is the time were the client recives your food-value for the first time.
If it was full, your client now gets this information and displays your food bar as (almost) full.

Protocol changes of the server-client-communication will fix this sooner or later.

I have encountered a stupid bug. When the client crashes (For whatever reason, e.g. servershutdown, etc.), your map isn't saved. When you login, the map you have discovered is set back to the last logging out.

Posted: Sun Feb 26, 2006 3:01 pm
by Isilwen
That's like that in the old client too, because the maps don't save until you log out I think.

by Markous
In the old client, when you're logged out because the client quits/crashes the map is saved, afaik.

This happened after an update...I'm assuming there's a little tweak I have to make and I just missed it, and that's why the client isn't working.
