The server wont be back until tomorrow. no need to wait. martin or shivoc must restart it, and before that look why it crashed.

Yes. That sucks.
But can they really tell why the server crashed?
Martin: G'day server.
Server: Xyz crashed the server! Beep.

How long are you playing, Galim?
How often does anybody ask this question?
And how often did we say
We don't know but as soon as possible
?
Would be nice if you could do anything else than spread bad atmosphere.

again down, is that a bad joke? we wait a whole day until the server is back, play an hour and than have it again down and maybe have to wait another day until it is back? *sighs*
but as long as the testserver runs well with all the great new things which runs also well on it bah

Galim, seriously. Shut up.
The test server is very sparsely populated. There is very little stress on the the server. Just having neat features does not make the test server fun. The game is nothing without actually playing it with other players. Please, get your facts straight before making a comment like that.

That doesn't change anything that so much works very fine and good on the testserver but isn't in the game. do you know how frustrating the sentence "it works great on the testserver" is when you are a player?
It really starts to annoy alot to hear that sentences from the peoples who have access to the testserver.
nice for them, nice that they tell us how fun and great and good it is, when we have no access and can just hear their joy about it *Grumbles*
you dont understand that, hm?

I am a player and do not have access to the test server. Also, I do not find this annoying or frustrating.

it is when you hear it again and again from guys with a broad grin on their face. you say "it would be nice when.." answer "oh that works fine on the test server" or "we have that bag bug" and "oh, it works fine on the testserver" and so on. great that it works fine on the testserver, wish it would do also on the real server *grumbles*

That is why it is on the test server, so it will not cause massive outcries about how it does not work. Maybe the test servers players are just trying to assure you that it will be implemented soon, since you said you wish it was.

The test server isn't running that smooth Galim and never will.
Infact something I would love to have tested today made it crash horribly.
Thankfuly it was "just" the Testserver and not the Gameserver.
But somehow you don't understand for what that server is used for ...

Maybe it would be appropriate to PM martin or some one with regard to players discussing the test sever it is my understanding that is not to be spoken off ?
Just a thought,
Brian

Well, yes. We just had a horrible crash yesterday and a few minutes ago on the gameserver.
it is just, would be nice to see that stuff on the real server too, and not just having to listen to others how great and wonderful it works on the testserver. thats not very nice

The test server IS there to be crashed. And since the population is small, then what caused the crash is found soon. Normally because the scripters added something.
If you have 16 players, and something goes wrong, then you have much more work to fix the bug.
And if it "Works fine on the Test server", then bet anything that its soon going to work fine on the real server

Many things are incomplete on the test server, Galim. It would be a much better idea to actually finish them before implementing them, don't you think?
