Sian was a noivce? I didn't know, sorry.

But he asked for priests, not novice  .

Well, it depents. Are priests still able to do others things too beside priestmagic? If not that it wouldn't be a big fun for me too <_<. A Galim with priestmagic but no good possibilitys in smithery wouldn't be Galim. And to be honest, a dwarven priest of Irmorom who can't smith well wouldn't earn much respect in a dwarven community ;)

But its same with other sort of priests. Whats a Oldra priest who can't plant really or something like that?

An Eldar or Elara priest who isn't able to read?

A Sirani priest who is like dead fish in bed? ;) hehehe.

well, hope you understand what I mean

Yes. I don't think that will happen though. No, my concern was more about tons of people suddenly "RPing" priests and novices and putting little to no thought nor personality into their priest characters.

All I'm saying is-- there were few priests/novices. But those that were around were played well. I'm afraid of suddenly seeing tons of priests (chosen as character vocations only for the perks) and no RP around them.

I mean, why should priests have to call on divine power? It's the "God damn" decision of the deity whether it's granted or not! ;)
And as for giving blessings, only believers will be redeemed, anyway. ;)

I agree with you. but on the other side, a priest without good rp may lack the important respect of the other characters. Whats a priest who isn't well liked, accepted or respected by others? And a bad played priest can still lose his powers through "divine power" in the form of a mean GM ;). And believe me, a priest who has no acceptance or respect by other characters is, well..boring to play and the priestplayer will change his rp soon, or simply stop playing his char. It is important to be accepted and respected by others when playing a priest. A priest without peoples following him or his words is just a producer of warm air ;)

I mean, Irmorom would punish a bad or wrong priest who runs around and does nothing right. the anvils would fly deep.

Oh, thats a wish I have for priestmagic. I want to be able to "cast" anvils falling on other peoples head out of the sky ;) hehehe.
