Yes, I agree you should end this discussion.

I agree with Kasume that the choices are horrible.

If you ask me, this is not about naming the island, this about prestige.
Of course, you look better if you stick to a Damien and a Tialdin or even a priest and just repeat after them.

My vote is still Aandar.

Aandar still sounds better.
Gobaith sounds like a monster to me, like Ogre or Troll.

And most of all, in my ears it's a lie.

Calling your island "hope". While people suffer on it day in day out.

The "hope" perfectly suits the island.

A hope to fix the damned. The idiots. The corrupted. The only thing this island has left is hope.

The name Aandar should be removed from the choices. As it was written from an unknown. And it could possibly be a name of a citizen which we do not know.

Gobaith makes me think of a great warrior. Barbaric yes. But isn't that what this island is? Since we must cannot be "hope." This island is full of the barbaric types. A great warrior. For an odd reason it is what I think of. Only in your logic would it be right Sian.

A great warrior, you say?
Gobith more makes me think of some ridiculously old tortoise, lying rotting in the sun... As for Aandar, the words of the wisest these lands have to offer are not to be taken lightly.

Personally, I cannot make a choice, they're equally horrible.

Dear citizens,

this is a vote the name of our island. It would be unfair only to allow the citizens of towns to vote.
Everybody was allowed to do proposals and everybody is allowed to vote, no matter what they believe in or who they worship.

By the way: May I remember you that this topic is not for discussion but for vote?

I found it unbelievable that my king Tialdin came to declair that Aandar is a name given by a bad god.
All I heard was that and I heard that some people believed it and spread this belief also.

Tialdin, my king, can you tell us where you got this information?

Yours,

Dear citizens of our island,

I have been shown some interesting informations. I refrain from this vote. I take my vote back.

Perhaps if this information is so relevant that you retract your vote, then wouldn't it be suitable to share it with us?

I was asked not to tell anything about it. But you can believe me: Everything Tialdin says is true.

Yet another parchmant written in a bad handwriting appears on the wall.

Then tell us Rackere, tell us... do you think anyone will believe you if you're just say it is like that and everyone should believe you?

It's not even clear that your beloved King tells the truth why should believe an unimportant dwarf like you?

It's unbelievable how naive the dwarves of this crazy island are.

I feel betrayed by Tialdin, or Silverbrand, whomever it concerns.
This silly secrecy appears to be dishonorable to me.
Still not knowing everything behind this "Aandar", and not liking Gobaith, I withdraw my vote completely.

Tialdin sent a soldier to me giving me a book I ought to look into. Its written by orcs and there's a hint that "Aandar" is a word of the dark language, just as Tialdin said.
He asked me not to quote anything and not to give it away. I gave it back to the soldier who took it away back to Tialdin.

I didn't want to believe it, too, but everything he says is true.

It is quite simple minded from the dwarves to state a word "evil" because it is from the orcs. I see no difference between orcish and dwarvish language. They all are people who live on this island and that's why i think, Aandar is accepteable as every other name.

I also liked the name, but it's part of Moshran's language. Not the orcs themselves are the reason, it's the fact it's from an evil language.

Randelon, after much research in some books that cannot even be mentioned here, I must however concur that the name Aandar is an evil name, used by orcs that are mad, followers of Moshran, and Moshran himself. Therefore I ask wether this name will even be disqualified, therefore leaving Gobaith as only option, and winner.

Yes, after all i agree to this concerning my researches in the monastery's private library.

I take my vote back and do not vote anymore. We elves should think for our own name for this island anyway.

Thank you.

How is it supposed to be a vote if there's only one choice to be made?
I demand a new vote, many people voted for Aandar unbeknownst of the name's nature. I too refuse the name Gobaith, I will not accept that name as a the name of this island and will never name this island that way. How about "Troll's Isle"? After all, the town is called "Troll's Bane", it would be somewhat "fair" if you like. And perhaps the Trolls would stop attacking at this sign of good will.

Due to bad handwriting and lots of mistakes you have a hard time reading it.

You all seem to have too much time on your hand.
Who cares about how this crazy island is called? I'll call it Aandar even if the vote shows another result.

Go and work but leave it with the voting... It'll never bring a fitting result, because everytime will come someone who feels betrayed. You're all too foolish to make a good vote.

Randelon, I must agree, and I hope that Damien agrees too. The elves should have a seperate voting, and no longer vote names like Gobaith and Aandar.

Most impressive. The face of sweet irony reveals itself.

Congratulations to the skill shown by the dwarvenkind to create and preserve needless things. Now, after such long debates about a name for the isle, it is how it was before the vote-

Everybody calls it however they prefer to.

Bravo.

Night.

Hmmh... did you expect anything else ?
I must add that these votings are often very amusing, and sometimes they even work.
Sometimes. In very balancend times.
You have to give trials a chance.

Dear citizens,

I don't want to be seen as a fool is. There was a chance to do this, but it seems to have failed.
I won't try it again. If anybody wants to end this vote and wants to be seen as a foolish guy, try it, I won't try it anymore.

The trial itself was a good one, not foolish, and you did well in organizing it.
