Some people are so gullible. >_>

I seriously can't contemplate how anyone could've fallen for this.

It was not soooo difficult to fall for it, if you are new and do not look what day it is regularly... I f.e. did not notice

But I have to admit, after a few minutes I also laughed so hard I almost fell of my chair, I just imagined my own stupid face XD

after I had gone over the shock, you know ;)

Everyone who can think beyond "Wheeeeee new graphics whee whee whee" will be able to keep in mind that there are a LOT of item graphics ingame, and that making textured 3D models of each would take a single person not weeks, but considerably more. Even if we're speaking about martin. ;)

Nest time let us download a few useless dll's, that will make it much more believable.

There's over 1220 items, the 9 player races, then the non player races which are.. um.. drow, female drow, pig, sheep, cow, rabbit deer, gnoll, troll, ogre, skeleton, shadow skeleton, ghost, cross, mummy, golem, red skeleton, lesser demon, greater demon, flies, bee, rotworm, spider, dragon, elemental, big elemental, panther and probably more but I can't think of any off the top of my head, tens of effects, then there's 13 floor textures I can think of (grass, sand, water, snow, lava, castle floor, dungeon floor, parquet, brick path, forest ground, mud, rock, roof) then the whole map would have to be given proper gradients, and how would isometric - 3d work when in isometric you can only go in 4 directions? It'd be a joke playing on 2d. Give it 20 years and maybe it'll be done.

Nah, not dlls, they should've given an exe called 3d client and just have it Rick Roll you when you launch it.

How shoulded it work to play some 2D and 3D chars togehter? (On the same area) Only for this reason it couldn't be true, I think...

That is no problem at all, just look at dungeon keeper, the overview is isometric just as illarion, but you can also change into 3D-View, the chars won't change atall, the displya is just different.

Ok. Maybe not impossible.

@Pell : if i remember right, even the Iso-perspective of Dungeon Keeper was a top-down thingy that displayed 3D objects which had pre-rendered 2D-textures atached. If it was pre-rendered at all ! ;)

Wasn't dungeon keeper just a top down version of the 3d stuff? >_>

As far as I know, dungeon keeper 1 was isometric 2D. When you entered first-person view, the creatures were pretty much 2D pictures looking in 8 cardinal directions.

Oh yeah, I remember, they were sprites. Then on dungeon keeper 2 the overview was 3d isometric and the first person view was 3d as well, so the textures didn't change, just the angle you were looking from.

The Lord of the Land and his merry men are coming to defeat you!!1!11

I loved having level 10 imps, running up to TLotL and smacking him with my pickaxe then teleporting away before I die. Funny stuff, too. Once I just raised imps and that was it and completed the level with level 10 imps. It was so awesome xD.

It was funny when you slapped imps too, they always just died at level 1 rofl. I always made sure I had flies for possession to scout out the whole map too. I also loved bile demons, so it was always sad sacrificing them but.. pff.. HORNED REAPERS! I mean wtf Bile demon or horned reaper, which am I gonna pick. Only problem is that the silly reaper always ate your imps. Dang.
